Turning Waste Into Treasure is a new event added with version 1.0.10 update in Frozen City mobile game. It’s one of the three events available in the game right now, the other two are “Grandpa’s Farm” and “Fish Farming” events. Looking at the name of this event it might seem that you can use this event to exchange excess or useless resources from your city buildings for valuable items but that is not really the case. In Turning Waste Into Treasure event you basically need to complete specific tasks throughout 7 days of the event to obtain three different items. You can then exchange those items for your desired rewards at “Exchange Shop” screen.
The three items you obtain by completing tasks or by exchanging are Broken Wing, Propeller and The Perfect Plane. I hope now you understood why this event is called “Turning Waste Into Treasure”. This is because you exchange the three items of the plane (referred as waste) for valuable rewards (referred as treasure). So the event name is not referring to resources you obtain in regular game mode instead it’s referring to the three event specific items as waste.
When this event is available you can access it by tapping on plane button just above “Tasks” at bottom left side of the screen. Tapping on the button will immediately take you to the “Task” screen of the event where you will be able to see the remaining number of days in the event and the quantity of Broken Wing, Propeller, The Perfect Plane and gems you currently have at the top of the screen.
There you will also be able to see all available tasks you can complete to get items for exchanging. 1. If you haven’t yet unlocked Arthur then make sure to aim for getting him as reward when you play this event for the first time. Arthur is one of the hardest heroes to unlock and this event is the easiest and only guaranteed way to get him.
2. The only way to get “The Perfect Plane” is to exchange the required number of Broken Wing and Propeller at Exchange Shop. You can’t get it by completing event tasks.
3. You can get maximum 5 quantity of The Perfect Plane during the event which means you can claim only one of the top two rewards, either 1 Golden Chest or Arthur Hero.
4. Blazing Star is another important item and you can get up to 300 blazing star by exchanging 120 Broken Wing. You can get maximum 195 Broken Wing (by completing tasks only) during the event which means if you claim all 300 blazing star then you won’t be able to get the top reward which is Golden Chest. However you can still exchange for Arthur. If you want to get Golden Chest also then you will need to get more Broken Wing by exchanging gems.
5. Never exchange Broken Wing for Wishing Star, 30 minutes resource gain with time skip and random rare cards, that’s a wastage. Also, don’t exchange 1 Perfect Plane for 4 rare cards unless the event is about to finish and you can’t get any more Perfect Plane.
6. When the event is over, all your unused Broken Wings, Propeller and Perfect Plane will be removed. So make sure to spend them within time.
7. Even after the end of the event there will be a redemption period during which you will be able to redeem rewards. However you won’t be able to complete anymore event tasks.

I exchanged items for Arthur level 150, it shows I’ve done it however it’s not in my game?
Any idea what I need to do?
Check at “Heroes” screen and he should be unlocked now. If you still don’t see him there then try restarting your game. Also, you will get Level 1 Arthur only. Level 150 Arthur on Exchange Shop is only for display.
What is the event scene? I can’t find it anywhere.
When this event is available you will find a plane symbol button just above the tasks button at bottom left side of the screen. You can tap on this button to access the event.
