Catch Santa is a special event released on the occasion of Christmas 2023 in version 3.0.34 update in Alien Invasion RPG Idle Space mobile game. This event will be available for 10 days during which you can get various stats upgrades as well as a lot of free crystals as rewards by obtaining Candy Cane. Note that the bonus stats gained from the event are permanent which means they will continue to work even after the end of the event. Alien Invasion Catch Santa Event
You can access this event by tapping on Christmas tree button located at right side of the screen, just above the Mail button. After tapping on Christmas tree you will find three tabs at this event’s screen which are “Rankings”, “Event” and “Upgrades”. This means you can get rewards from this event in many ways.
From “Event” tab you can claim bonus stats and crystals as a reward throughout the duration of this event. These bonus stats can be extremely helpful in clearing the main game content and participating in this event is the most easiest way to gain these stats.
The bonuses keep getting better as you reach higher levels in the event and since these bonuses are really helpful therefore you should try to grind hard in this event. Other than bonus stats you also get 10 crystals as a reward every time you reach a new level in the event. At certain levels you will also get 25 crystals instead of just 10.

In order to claim these rewards or level up in this event you need to get Candy Cane which can be obtained by catching Santa. Throughout the duration of this event you can find Santa flying around in the game. Every time you catch Santa you will get 1 Candy from him. More candies you collect, higher level you will be able to reach in the event to claim more rewards.

Santa has a good amount of HP but he is not really fast in speed. However you will need to actively keep checking all areas you have unlocked in order to locate him. Although he can spawn anywhere but he mostly seems to spawn towards right side areas.
Note that you must deliver the obtained candies to your base in order for them to be counted. If you just keep farming Candy Cane and then get defeated by some enemies before you could deliver them then all those candies will be wasted. So it’s important that you frequently keep delivering your candies at the base.
A great thing is that there is also an “Upgrades” tab in this event where you can upgrade a variety of stats to catch Santa easily. In order to upgrade these stats you will need Santa Hat which can be found at random locations throughout the game. Every time you pick them up you will get 5 Santa Hats.
This means you need to catch or look for two things in this event. The first one is Santa and the other one is Santa Hat. By consistently farming both of these you will be able to get most rewards from this event. Below you can check all the stats you can upgrade using Santa Hat at “Upgrades” tab.
- Santa Hat Drop – Increase Santa Hat drop
- Santa Hat Evolution – Santa hats become BIGGER! Base count from X to Y
- Candy Drop – Increase drop from Santas from X to Y
- Santa Spawn Time – Reduce Santa spawn time from X to Y
- Santa Count – Increase max Santa count from X to Y
- Santa Catching – Increase Santa Catching Speed multiplier from X to Y
if you ask which of these Upgrades is the most important one then basically all of them are important to upgrade. However the first thing you should upgrade is Santa Hat Drop because this way you will be able to get more hats and thus level up all upgrades faster.
There is also a Ranking system in the event which you can increase by claiming rewards at “Event” tab. These rank rewards are the best way to get most crystals as a free to play player in the game.
