Purify The Corruption is a zone trial or world event in Diablo Immortal. This is probably one of the most straight forward and also the most rewarding events in the game. Although it doesn’t provide a lot of rewards but it is one of the few ways to get Glowing Shards, which is required for upgrading your secondary gears. There are many players who get confused on how to get this event and complete it. So in this post i will tell you everything you need to know about Purify the Corruption event including Shadow Clone, Corruption Meter and Tree of Inifuss. So let’s check it out!
Diablo Immortal Purify The Corruption Event
This is a world event which can be completed at Dark Wood zone. In order to get this event you must first reach level 60 and then change the difficulty to Hell 1 (using the skull button at top right side on the map). Now when you visit Dark Wood zone you will find Purify the Corruption event at the very top of your quests list at left side on your screen.
You will also find a corruption meter in this event’s quest. You need to fill this meter by defeating monsters at Dark Wood zone. Every time you defeat some monsters, you will notice the percentage of corruption increasing slightly.
You can defeat regular monsters at the zone to steadily gain corruption or you can also beat Blood Rose boss at the zone to get a lot of corruption at once. Since it can be difficulty to beat Blood Rose because of it’s healing ability so you might need to take help from other players at the zone to beat this boss. However it’s absolutely not necessary to beat Blood Rose for this event so you can just kill regular monsters at the zone to gain corruption.
You must also note that the more corruption this meter gains, more damage you will take. However this increased damage is not as much as you might be thinking. Yes, you will take increased damage based on the corruption meter but still you won’t find it much difficult to complete this event.

Diablo Immortal Shadow Clone & Tree of Inifuss
In order to complete this event and claim your rewards you will need to fight a Shadow Clone who will basically be a clone of yourself. This Dark Wood Shadow Clone can be found at Tree of Inifuss.
When the Corruption meter reaches 100% you will see the message “Go to Tree of Inifuss” right underneath the meter. You can then just tap on the event quest to be automatically taken to Tree of Inifuss or you can also manually go there to fight the Shadow Clone. You can find the location of this tree in the image below.
In order to spawn the Shadow Clone you will need to tap on the hand icon after reaching the Tree. Once the clone spawns you will have to beat him within 90 seconds to get your reward. You will be able to see the 90 seconds countdown right above the clone.
Don’t worry about beating him within 90 seconds because he is not too hard to defeat. If you have a fair amount of combat rating then you should be able to easily defeat him within just 40-50 seconds.
Completing this event is also a great way to farm Gold, XP, gears and Monstrous Essence because you will be killing a lot of enemies to gain corruption for this event. Another thing which makes this event a great way to farm these resources is that it’s cooldown is just 20 minutes. So you can complete this event every 20 minutes to farm all these resources for as many times as you want.
