Atanas is an elite monster who can be found at Realm of Damnation in Diablo Immortal. You need to find and defeat him for completing an achievement and obtain 60 hilts as a reward. Like most players, you might also know that he can be found at Hall of Punishment but some players have no idea where exactly is this hall at the zone. Some players have another issue where they are unable to spawn him even after numerous attempts. In this post i won’t only show you Atanas location at Realm of Damnation but also how to spawn and beat him. So let’s check it out!

Atanas Location In Diablo Immortal

Before learning about how to spawn and beat him, first you need to know where to find him. In the achievement description it clearly says “Hunt down and defeat Atanas in the Hall of Punishment”. So it’s clear that Atanas location is Hall of punishment but the problem is that you can’t find this hall in Realm of Damnation map because this hall is not a really large area.

Don’t worry though, you don’t need to run around the zone looking for this hall everywhere. I have shown the exact Atanas location inside Hall of Punishment at Realm of Damnation with a red colored cross in the image below.

This hall is located to the southwest of Skarn’s Eye and the fastest way to reach here is to use Citadel of the Damned Waypoint. After arriving at the zone using this waypoint just keep moving towards south to reach the hall.

How To Spawn Atanas In Diablo Immortal

Although reaching Atanas location is quite easy but spawning him might not be an easy task. Many players complain that they couldn’t get him to spawn ever after waiting for a few hours at the spot. Others say that you need to kill enemies around the area, open some chests and also do some side quests in order to spawn him. Although it worked for some players but most of the players couldn’t get him to spawn even after doing all these.

So how did i spawned him? Well, the first time i reached the hall i tried killing some enemies around for a few minutes but Atanas didn’t spawned. I felt that it’s not going to work so i simply went back to Westmarch and Changed difficulty to Hell 1 (earlier i was in Hell 2). Now i again went back to Hall of Punishment and this time Atanas spawned right away. So if Atanas doesn’t spawn for you then simply change difficulty to Hell 1 and visit the location again and it should work.

For those who don’t know, you can change difficulty using the skull button at top right corner on your map. However you can only change difficulty at Westmarch. If you are at any other zone then you will be asked to head over to Westmarch before you could change difficulty.

As soon as Atanas spawns, you will get a New Event notification on your screen. You will also see a “Wanted” Side Quest called “Kill Atanas” in your quests list. The description of the quest will say “A creature born of torment threatens to usher new darkness onto Sanctuary. Kill Atanas”.

Atanas is a creature with Wings and equipped with swords in both hands. He has 192,192 HP in Hell 1 difficulty. He only uses 3 types of attacks. The first one is basic attack in which he attacks you with his swords. Although it doesn’t deal too much damage but makes you keep losing some HP over time.

In the next type of attack he extends burning swords (which look like a claw) out of his body and then shoots them, each one in their respective directions. Although the attack looks quite fantastic but it doesn’t deal that much damage.

In the third type of attack he first aims in a linear path and then throws an arc shaped flame at you. The arc will not only push you back but also deal enough damage as well as burn you to keep dealing more damage for the next few seconds.
