What Is Shadow Lottery Bug In Diablo Immortal

Shadow lottery bug is an annoying glitch which you might face when the current Immortals are overthrown at the end of a Cycle of Strife. When this happens, all Shadows are demoted to Adventurers faction and their clans are also changed from Dark Clans to normal clans.

Now in order to reconvert your clan into a dark clan and become shadow again, you and your clan members need to donate total 30 Akeba’s Signet. Each member can donate only 2 signets and if you have just 14 other active members in your clan then you can easily collect 30 signets. This is where the real issue arises. If you and your clan members are not able to collect 30 signets then you will be stuck as Adventurers. The main reason for not being able to collect enough signets is mostly inactive clan members.  It is seen that many players become inactive after losing the Shadows faction and thus the remaining clan members are stuck as well.

There is also another case where the clan leader doesn’t converts the clan into dark clan even after collecting the required 30 signets. One reason for this could be the clan leader himself becomes inactive. The other reason is that clan leader might be waiting for all members to reach level 43 because he can’t convert the clan till everyone is at least level 43.

Now, for the time you are stuck in the above mentioned situation you can’t enter shadow lottery. You might get the notification that “The Shadow Lottery has begun” but when you visit Mysterious Patron you will run into a shadow lottery bug and can’t enter lottery. No matter how many times you visit him, he will never give you the option to enter the lottery due to the glitch.

How To Fix Shadow Lottery Bug In Diablo Immortal

It can be really frustrating when shadow lottery broken and not working since you are missing a great chance to collect aspirant’s keys, Hilts, Gold, XP and other valuable rewards as a shadow. Step 1. The first thing you need to do is leave your current clan. There is no point of staying in an inactive clan and it’s also necessary to quit your clan if you want to become a shadow again, so just leave your current clan and follow the next steps.

Step 2. Go to Mysterious Patron at Court of Whispers.

Step 3. You will see “Gathering Shadows” mission at left side of your screen with a small magnifying glass icon in front of the mission (check the image below). Tap on this magnifying glass icon.

Step 4. This will open Shadows Invitation window where the join button will be greyed out. You need to tap on the greyed out join button. If you think it won’t work then just tap on it and check yourself.

Step 5. You will now see a pop window with a long message and two buttons “Cancel” and “OK”. Tap on OK button.

Step 6. Once you tap on OK button you will be sent back to Westmarch. You can now talk to Mysterious Patron there to complete the “Shadow Mettle” mission. Just complete this mission and you will become a shadow again!
