Pets are an interesting and really useful new feature released with version 1.13.1 update in Survivor.io mobile game. There are total 8 types of pets added in this update whom you can deploy to fight alongside you in all game modes. All these pets have unique Pet Skills using which they can provide you various buffs and benefits. However this new feature can be quite confusing to understand for a lot of players therefore in this Pets Guide i am going to tell you everything you need to know about Pets in Survivor.io game. So let’s check it out!
How To Unlock & Get Pets In Survivor.io
You can access Pets by going to “Equipment” tab and then tapping on “Pet” button located just next to Survivors/Outfit button. If you don’t find the Pet button there then you might need to unlock Pets first. You probably just need to clear a few more Chapters in main game mode to unlock this new feature. So just keep clearing Chapters and pets should be unlocked for you.
The first thing you might want to know is how to get Pets so let me tell you that it’s pretty simple. You can get pets using three Pet Chests located at the bottom on Pets screen. The first chest allows you to get up to 4 pets per day just by watching ads. From 2nd and 3rd chests you can get 1 and 10 pets by spending 300 and 2680 gems respectively. So obviously it’s best to spend 2680 gems to get 10 pets from the 3rd chest. Below you can find the list of all 8 types of pets you can get from these chests.
- Murica (pet bird)
- Cheshire (pet cat)
- Rex (pet dog)
- Shelly (pet tortoise)
- Neemo (pet fish)
- Crabobble (pet crab)
- DD-6 (pet robot)
- Croaky (pet frog)
Deploy & Assisting Pet In Survivor.io
You will find two slots named “Deploy” and “Assisting Pet” near the top at pets screen. The pet you equip at Deploy slot is the one who will fight alongside you in the game using his/her main skill. The two pets you equip at Assisting Pet slots will just assist you using their assist skills and won’t fight alongside you. In order to understand it better just continue reading below.
At each pet’s screen you will find two skills at top right side. The first one is the Main/Primary/Active skill of the pet and the second one is the Assist Skill. When you equip a pet at Deploy slot, the Main or Primary skill of that pet is activated. While when you equip a pet as Assisting Pet, it’s Assist Skill (the second one) is activated in the game.
Note that only Better and above grade pets can have Assist skill. That’s the reason you will find a question mark symbol in place of assist skills of Normal and Good grade pets. If you equip these pets as Assisting Pet then it will be useless as they don’t have any assist skill. You need to evolve these pets to Better grade to get a random assist skill on them.
Deploying Skills of Pets In Survivor.io
You will also find various locked skills listed under “Deploying Skills“. Some players wonder how to unlock Deploying Skills so that they could benefit from those powerful skills as well. So let me tell you that in order to unlock Deploying Skills you just need to Evolve your pet. Evolving the pet to Excellent grade unlocks the first two skills in purple color. Evolving to Epic unlocks two more skills in yellow color and by evolving the pet to Legend grade you will also unlock the last deploying skill in red color.
To Evolve pets you simply need to tap on “Evolve” spot which is located at top right side at pets screen. Pets Evolving feature works similar to merging equipment or tech parts. So if you have merged equipment or tech parts in the game then you will have no problem in understanding how to evolve pets. You basically need to obtain certain number of copies of your pet in order to evolve it to next grade. This is also currently the only way to get Epic and Legendary pets in the game. Each pet you obtain has it’s own ATK and HP stats. Both these stats of pets are actually inherited from your Survivor’s stats, according to it’s current quality. This means higher the stats of your character, higher will be the default stats of the pet. Below you can check how much percentage of stats are inherited by different grades of pets.
- Normal Pets – 20% ATK & 20% HP
- Good Pets – 25% ATK & 25% HP
- Better Pets – 30% ATK & 30% HP
- Excellent +1 Pets – 40% ATK & 40% HP
- Excellent +2 Pets – 42% ATK & 42% HP
- Excellent +3 Pets – 45% ATK & 45% HP
- Epic Pets – 50% ATK & 50% HP
- Epic +1 Pets – 52% ATK & 52% HP
- Epic +2 Pets – 54% ATK & 54% HP
- Epic +3 Pets – 56% ATK & 56% HP
- Legendary Pets – 60% ATK & 60% HP
Now let’s check out how to level up pets to increase their ATK & HP stats even more. In order to level them up you need a new resource called Pet Cookie. This cookie can be obtained from Pet Peddler who is an NPC dressed as a detective and can be found at right side on Pets screen. At Pet Peddler you can get up to 300 Pet Cookie everyday for free just by watching ads and you can also purchase more using gold and gems.
You can also purchase a Pet Pass for about $5 at Pet Peddler screen. Purchasing this pass gives you 500 gems as one time reward and a Powerful Pet Chest Key as a daily reward. These keys can be used to open pet chests at pets screen and obtain more pets.
Once you have obtained enough Pet Cookie you just need to tap on “Pet List” button at bottom right corner of the screen. Now select the pet you want to level up and then keep tapping on “Level Up” button to increase your pet’s stats. You can also simply tap on “Max Level” button to level up the pet to max possible level in one tap.
The great thing is you can also Level Down Pets anytime you want. By leveling down pets you will get back all Pet Cookie spent on that pet. You can then use those cookies to level up any other pet. In order to level down a pet you just need to tap on the small refresh like button (three arrows in circular shape) located just next to pet level on a pet’s screen. On tapping this button you will be asked for confirmation, just tap on “OK” to level down the pet and get back all pet cookies.
How To Revive Pets In Survivor.io
Just like your character, the pet fighting alongside you also takes damage and thus can die. But the great thing is that it’s possible to revive him/her. As soon as you revive him, he will be back with his full HP and ready to fight again from your side. To revive your pet all you need to do is just stand right next to him for few seconds. You will then see a green colored circle filling up slowly underneath you. Just stay there until the circle fills up completely to revive your pet back.
