What Is Key Evolution In Survivor.io
Key Evolution or Gold DNA is used to unlock special abilities at “Evolve” tab in Survivor io. When you switch to “Evolve” tab (the button at bottom far right) in the game you will find two types of stats or abilities you can unlock. The ones in the left column are basic abilities which are Strength, Stamina, Tenacity and Restoration. These abilities can easily be unlocked using gold to boost your ATK, HP, Armor and Meat Heal stats. Every time you level up your Adventure level you will get to unlock these four abilities.
Other than the above mentioned basic abilities you will also find another column of abilities at right side. These are special abilities which provide you special powers instead of boosting your basic stats. One of the most valuable early-game special abilities you can unlock in this column is the seeker perk, which allows defeated monsters to drop equipment directly on the battlefield.
Other essential early special abilities include the Rogue and Devourer skills, which respectively grant you the power to reselect skill choices during a match and gain healing meat drops from defeated enemies. Since the powers you obtain from these abilities give you a great advantage so these abilities can’t be unlocked using gold, you will need key evolution or Gold DNA to unlock them. How To Get Key Evolution In Survivor.io
Unlocking the special abilities at Evolve tab can be really helpful if you are stuck at a Chapter and hence you would want to know how to get golden dna or key evolution in the game. Well, in order to get gold dna you need to play another mode in the game called Trials. Note that this standard trial progression is separate from the weekly Path of Trials boss-rush climb, which is a highly competitive, rank-based game mode located under the same interface.
However this mode is not available in the beginning of the game, you will need to clear Chapter 2 to unlock this game mode. Once you clear the 2nd chapter you will then be able to access Trials using the button just next to “Battle” at bottom of the screen.
Trials is a fun and challenging game mode using which you can get gems and key evolution. The gameplay method in this mode is basically the same as the main game but there are certain changes or twists. In Trials mode each chapter has 3 stages and the difficulty increases as you clear each stage.
The good thing is that reward also gets better with each stage of the chapter. On clearing the 1st stage you get 200 gems as a reward, on clearing the 2nd stage you get 1 Gold DNA and the last stage gives you both 200 gems and a key evolution or gold dna as rewards. Because clearing these stages provides a massive influx of premium currency, they represent one of the most effective and fastest ways to get free gems as a free-to-play player.
The reason for the increase in the difficulty of stages is the increasing number of challenges with each stage. In the 1st stage you get only one debuff called “Fury” which makes the monsters gain Haste. On 2nd stage you have 3 debuffs and on the 3rd stage you have 5 debuffs namely Fury, Doomsday, Evolve, Evernight and Gemini. The good thing about Trials is that it doesn’t cost energy to play in this mode. So you can play Trials and attempt to get key evolution as many times as you want. Once you have obtained a gold dna just switch to Evolve tab and tap on key evolution button of the special ability to unlock it.
