Epic Equipment or gold gear are one of the most strongest gear you can have in Survivor.io mobile game. Other than having much higher base stats, they also have 3 or 4 grade skills unlocked which give you a great advantage in the game. Unfortunately most players have no idea about how to get these extremely powerful yellow equipment. But don’t worry anymore because in this post i will tell you how to get epic equipment in Survivor.io and also the fastest possible way to get them. So let’s check it out!
What Are Epic Equipment In Survivor.io
Before learning about how to get epic gear first let’s learn a little more about them. Epic gear can be identified by their yellow background and as mentioned earlier these gold equipment are one of the most strongest gear in Survivor.io game. There are many factors which make epic equipment one of the strongest like they have really high base stats by default so you get an instant massive stat increase on equipping them.
Other than that they can also be upgraded up to level 80 so just imagine how strong a maxed out epic gear would be. Obviously it might take you a little long time to upgrade a gold gear to level 80 but it will be definitely worth it. Last but not the least, they have 3 or 4 grade skills unlocked which makes them even more powerful.
Although looking at the above mentioned factors it might seem like epic items are the strongest ones but that’s not really the case. There is one more grade of items known as Legendary Equipment and they are currently the most powerful gear in the game. How To Get Epic Equipment/Gold Gear In Survivor.io
Getting gold equipment is not that easy and might take you a little long, especially if you are completely free to play. Currently there is no direct way to get epic items in the game, however it’s quite possible that sooner or later they will add ways to obtain it directly through some events or at least make it easier to obtain them.
But i know you can’t wait for such future events and want to know right now how to get epic gear. So let me tell you that currently there is only one way to get epic equipment and that is by merging gear. In this post i am not going to explain about merge feature because i have already done that in another post. Coming back to the topic, obtaining an epic gear through Merge feature might take a long time but unfortunately that’s the only way right now. The time taken to obtain an epic depends upon which grade of items you start merging with. If you start with Good grade gear then it will take much longer whereas if you start with Better or Excellent rarity equipment then obviously it will be less longer.

I am now going to tell you how to upgrade a gold equipment from Normal grade to Epic grade. Below you can find the exact steps you need to follow in order to get epic equipment in Survivor.io game.
- Step 1. Merge 3 same gear of common grade to upgrade it into a Good grade gear.
- Step 2. Obtain 2 more Good grade copies of that gear and merge them to upgrade it into a Better grade gear.
- Step 3. Obtain 2 more Better grade copies of that gear and merge them to upgrade it into an Excellent grade gear.
- Step 4. Merge that Excellent grade gear with any other Excellent gear of same type (like Belt, Gloves etc.) to upgrade your Excellent gear to +1
- Step 5. Merge that +1 Excellent gear with any other +1 Excellent gear of same type to upgrade your +1 Excellent gear to +2
- Step 6. Merge that +2 Excellent gear with any other +2 Excellent gear of same type to finally obtain an Epic Equipment.

How To Get Epic Gear/Gold Equipment Fast In Survivor.io
Here are a few tips which can help you get epic items fast in the game. The best thing you can do to get them fast is to focus on getting Excellent gear directly. The good thing is that it’s possible to get Excellent grade equipment from EDF Supplies or Large Depot chests at Shop so try to open as much EDF Supplies as possible.
Developers also keep adding limited time Chests which can drop Excellent gear. So you just need a little bit of luck to obtain Excellent items of the same type from these chests as the equipment you want to upgrade into Epic. Just keep farming Gems and spend them on these chests to get Epic equipment faster.
They also frequently keep releasing new Events which reward free EDF Key. You can use these EDF Key to open EDF Supplies without spending any Gems. So make sure to participate in such limited time events to farm as much EDF Keys as possible. In the image below you can see such an event called “Autumn Leaves” which rewards these keys.
