Ming Shan The Devoted is an elite enemy found at Mount Zavain in Diablo Immortal. He is also known as Ming Shan and you need to defeat him for completing a “Defeated” type achievement called “The Devoted” for Mount Zavain. After completing this achievement you will get 40 hilts as a reward, in addition to the items dropped by him after defeating him. The problem is that most players don’t know where to find Ming Shan so in this post i will show you Ming Shan location together with how to spawn and defeat him in Diablo Immortal. So let’s check it out!

Diablo Immortal Ming Shan Location

Before learning about how to defeat him, you must first know where is Ming Shan at Mount Zavain. It’s actually quite fast and easy to reach The Devoted location at the zone. The fastest way to reach Ming Shan The Devoted location is to use Zakarum Cemetery Waypoint to arrive at the zone and then head towards east to reach Sanctified Earth Monastery. This is a mid sized circular area located around an idol in the center. You can find Ming Shen at western part of this Sanctified Earth Monastery. You can find the exact Ming Shan location marked with a red colored cross in the image below.

Although now you know where to find meng san, but you might still struggle to spawn him. Many players complain that they couldn’t get him to spawn even after waiting for few hours at the spot. For some unknown reasons it has been seen that the higher your game difficulty, lower the spawn chance of Ming Shan. So you may struggle a lot if you try to find him in Hell 2 or Hell 3 difficulty.

So the best thing to do is first switch to Hell 1 difficulty using the skull button at top right corner on your map. Then go to the above mentioned The Devoted location and you should be able to find him quite easily. He is known to spawn after about every 30 minutes in Hell 1 difficulty so make sure to wait there for few minutes.

Diablo Immortal Ming Shan Guide

As soon as Ming Shen spawns, you will see a “New Event” notification on your screen and a side quest called “Defeat Ming Shan The Devoted” will appear in your quests list. The description of this quest will say “A dangerous foe has been uplifted by the darkness of Zavain. Defeat Ming Shan the Devoted”.

Ming Shan The Devoted has 192,192 HP in Hell 1 difficulty. He seems to be an enemy resembling to Monk class so his movement and fighting style might seem similar. His main attacks mainly involve punches and a few dashes. He forms a purple colored dome around him which doesn’t really seems to do anything. The dome neither deals any damage to you nor provides any heals or buffs to Ming Shan himself. So i am not sure what exactly his dome really does.

Other than that he also periodically throws some stuff at you which blocks your movement for few seconds. Overall his attacks are quite basic and doesn’t really deal a lot of damage. So you will be able to defeat him quite easily.

After defeating him you will get some Enchanted Dust, gold and basic gears. You can now also claim your 40 hilts reward through Codex by going to Achievements > Exploration > Mount Zavain.
