Haunted Altars can be found while exploring Ashwold Cemetery in Diablo Immortal. These are structures which can be found throughout the zone at specific spots. Destroying these structures will spawn Haunting Spirits whom you can beat to obtain some regular items. However you won’t really beat them for the items they drop, instead you need to beat them for completing an Achievement to obtain some Hilts as a reward. Haunted Altars Location & Map In Diablo Immortal
As mentioned earlier, you will need to find Haunted Altars in order to complete an Ashwold Cemetery achievement. By completing this achievement you will get 40 hilts. Even though this particular achievement completion reward as well as the items dropped by the spirits are quite basic but you still need to do this if you want to fully complete the Ashwold Cemetery achievements. In the Haunted Altars map below you can see all haunted altars location marked with blue circles.
Diablo Immortal Haunting Spirits
When you destroy one of these Haunted Altars it will spawn 3 Haunting Spirits. These spirits are quite easy to beat as they don’t deal a lot of damage and have only 36,605 to 46,376 HP each in Hell 2 difficulty. However they can vanish and respawn at another nearby spot due to which sometimes your skill might miss them.

When you beat these Haunting Spirits they will drop some gold and sometimes also a regular gear. So the loot dropped from them is really basic and it can also be a little annoying to beat all those spirits because of their vanishing ability, especially when you try to beat all the spirits in a single run.
In any case, you need to beat 50 of these spirits in order to complete the Haunted Altars achievement. It will be quite easy for you to find all these spirits using the haunted altars map above. Once you have defeated 50 Haunting Spirits you can then claim your 40 hilts as a reward for completing this achievement. You can claim your 40 hilts through Codex by going to Achievements > Exploration > Ashwold Cemetery.
Also, if you notice the haunted altars location in the above map then you will find there are 15 of them available in the zone. Then you might be thinking how would you beat 50 spirits if there are only 15 altars at the zone? Since each altar spawns only 3 spirits so you would get only 45 spirits to beat.
Well, you don’t need to worry about that because these haunted altars respawn after a certain period of time. So you don’t necessarily need to visit and destroy every single altar shown in the map, instead you can take your time and complete this achievement by destroying just some of the altars over a period of time.
