Special Ops is a new Daily Event recently released in Survivor.io mobile game. You can participate in this event everyday to get Gold, Equipment, Gems, Tech Parts, Energy Essence etc. However the most important thing which you can exclusively get from this event are Special Ops Coins. Survivor.io Special Ops Guide
In Special Ops daily event you basically need to complete missions in order to obtain various types of items as rewards. You can complete up to 10 missions everyday. Each mission gives you a certain amount of Special Ops Coins as well as one other item as a reward for completing it. You can get items like Energy Essence, Gold, Tech Parts, Gems, Equipment etc. as a reward for completing each task.
Other than the mission rewards, you can also get a specific reward for completing certain number of missions each day. You can claim these additional rewards by completing 2, 5 and 10 missions everyday, from the chests near the top of Special Ops screen.
Just above these chests you will find a certain number of stars, which show your “Special Ops Grade“. It determines the grade of missions you will get and thus the quality of rewards obtainable from missions. So the more stars you have in your Special Ops Grade, more and better rewards you will get from missions. In order to increase the stars in your grade you must clear certain chapters in main game mode. Below you can learn about the requirements for each grade.
- 1 Star – Clear Chapter 8 (Farmland)
- 2 Stars – Clear Chapter 10 (Country Road) (Unlocks Excellent missions)
- 3 Stars – Clear Chapter 15 (Core Control)
- 4 Stars – Clear Chapter 20 (Desert Center) (Unlocks Epic missions)
- 5 Star – Clear Chapter 25 (Foothill Disorder)
The grade of a mission can be identified by the color at the top of that mission. Higher the mission grade, more quantity and better quality rewards you will get by completing it. You will also get more Special Ops Coins from higher grade missions. Below you can learn exactly how many special ops coin do you get from each type of mission.
- Normal Mission (Grey Color) – 10 Special Ops Coins
- Good Mission (Green Color) – 15 Special Ops Coins
- Better Mission (Blue Color) – 25 Special Ops Coins
- Excellent Mission (Purple Color) – 40 Special Ops Coins
- Epic Mission (Yellow Color) – 80 Special Ops Coins

As you can see above that you can get a specific amount of Special Ops Coins by completing each mission in Special Ops event. Now you might be wondering what is the use of these coins or how to use special ops coins? Well, you can exchange these coins for “Random Survivor Shard” using the “Exchange” button at bottom right corner of Special Ops screen. You will need minimum 300 coins to be able to exchange for 1 random survivor shard.
If you don’t know what are these shards or how to use shards then let me tell you that you can use these shards to unlock or upgrade a specific survivor in the game. For example, if you want to unlock Worm then you can do so by collecting 80 Worm shard. However it’s not really a great idea to depend only upon special ops to obtain hero shards because this way it will take you a very long time. There are other ways also to get these survivor shards.

It’s highly recommended to complete all 10 Special Ops missions everyday. The reason is that after completing 10 missions you will be able to claim the 3rd or the last additional reward chest which contains 100 Special Ops coins. This way you will easily be able to get 300+ coins and exchange for 1 Survivor shard everyday.
Survivor.io Special Ops Tips & Tricks
Now i am going to share some tips for Special Ops missions so that you could complete them easily. The first thing you need to know is that each Special Ops mission will have a certain number of buffs and debuffs, so make sure to check them carefully at the start of the mission.
Another thing to know is that unlike regular game mode, here you will need to choose 10 skills right at the beginning of the mission. Make sure to keep debuffs in mind while choosing the skills. For example, if you have a debuff which slows you down then it’s a good idea to choose a skill which increases your movement speed.
However the buffs and debuffs are not the only things to keep in mind while choosing your 10 skills. The most important thing is to remember the aim of the mission. If the mission requires you to kill a boss then there is no point in choosing skills which help survive and beat a horde of enemies. Currently there are only 3 types of missions you can get. Below you can learn about what you need to do in each of these missions.
1. Kill 3000 Monsters – In this mission you will need to kill 3000 monsters within the specified amount of time. I recommend you to keep moving towards the monsters instead of waiting for them to come to you. This way you will be able to kill more of them faster. Lightchaser is a great weapon to use for this mission, if you have it. Also try to kill the mini bosses (who spawn periodically) as quickly as possible because the Lucky Train obtained from them can greatly help you to upgrade your skills fast.
2. Defeat All Bosses – In this mission you will need to defeat total 3 bosses. Don’t worry because all of them won’t spawn together instead they will spawn one after another. You will get a specific amount of time for beating each boss and also get to choose 10 skills each time you defeat a boss.
3. After Defeating 1 boss, defeat another boss in 10 seconds – In this last type of mission 2 bosses will spawn together and you need to beat the 2nd boss within 10 seconds of defeating the first one, within a limited amount of time. The best tip for this mission is to try to evolve your weapon within the 15 skill choices you get at the start of the mission. Kunai is the most suitable weapon for this mission. One more thing you can do is to keep dealing damage to both bosses, instead of targeting any one of them. This way the 2nd boss will have low amount of HP left and would be easy to beat within 10 seconds.
