Master Yang is the tenth character or survivor released in Survivor.io mobile game. He is the first and currently the only S Grade Survivor available in the game and thus he is not that easy to get. Master Yang survivor is available right now in Season 13 but the method to obtain him is a little different than others. Unlike other survivors you can’t directly purchase him, instead you will need to obtain Master Yang shard using different ways. Before learning about how to unlock Master Yang, first let’s get to know some important details about him. The bio of this new survivor says ” Master yang, the most enigmatic drillmaster of the Survivor squad. With righteousness and courage as his creed, he turns the forms of Yin and Yang into protection and salvation for other survivors. …
… As both respected guardian and sage in this dystopian age, through systematic martial arts training, he teaches squad members the swift attack techniques of the Yang stance coupled with the deft defensive measures of the Yin stance.”
Just like other survivors, Master Yang also has 3 skills which can be unlocked by upgrading him using Master Yang shard. - Yin-Yang Balance – This is the 1 star skill of Master Yang using which he can use different skills in battle by changing his Yin-Yang stances.
- Calm and Collected – When Solarian Ki explodes, it will spawn a Ki Cyclone that prevents monster movement. Monsters affected by cyclone receive 50% increased damage.
- Burning Rage – After unlocking this 6 star skill, Sunfire Palm Crit Damage increases by +100%
Below you can learn about all the stat bonuses or effects you can unlock by leveling him up to specific levels. The last bonus stat is usually the best one (for most survivors) so try to level up your Master Yang to level 120 as quickly as possible after unlocking him.
- Level 20 – Survivor HP +3000
- Level 40 – All Survivors ATK +10%
- Level 60 – Survivor ATK +1200
- Level 80 – All Survivors Revival Effect +5%
- Level 100 – Survivor ATK +1800
- Level 120 – All Survivors Crit Rate +10%

How To Get Master Yang In Survivor.io
Now it’s time to learn about how to unlock Master Yang in Survivor.io game. As mentioned earlier, he is currently the only S Grade Survivor in the game and he is also one of the best ones. Therefore the only way to get him right now is by obtaining 120 Master Yang shards.
If you want to get his shards right now (during Season 13) then you will need to purchase Season 13 Survivor Pass, Premium Pass and also two really expensive packs from Thanksgiving Sale. By purchasing all of these you will be able to get 120 Master Yang shards and unlock him.
Most probably even after the end of Season 13, the only way to get him would be by collecting his shards. The great thing is that you will then be able to use four free ways to get Master Yang shards. I suggest using all these ways after Season 13 to collect 120 shards and unlock him for free. Below you can learn about all these 4 ways.
1. Ender’s Echo will be a great way to obtain Master Yang Shard. Here you can claim chests by playing in Ender’s Echo mode for a certain number of times. Some of these chests also contain a random survivor shard which can also be a Master Yang Shard. This mode is also a great way to get Energy Essence which is required for leveling up your survivors. 2. There is one more way inside Ender’s Echo using which you will be able to get Master Yang shards and that is from Ranking Rewards. These rewards can be claimed by up to 9999th rank players so you are guaranteed to get at least 1 shard even if you don’t play actively. However the better your rank, more Master Yang shard you would get. So try your best to achieve highest ranking.
3. Now this way would be the best one to get Master Yang shard, which is by using Special Ops coins. You can get these coins by playing in Special Ops daily event. This event is not only a great way to get shards, but also gems, gold, tech parts, energy essence and more items. 4. The last way to get Master Yang shard would be through limited time special events. The game frequently keeps releasing new events which are one of the best ways to get all kinds of valuable items in the game. Therefore make sure to participate in these limited time events to get more Master Yang shard and other items.
