Durability Check is a small but also a little difficult mission in Last Day On Earth Survival game. You need to complete this mission as Chapter 5 Mission 3 of Act 1 (Lost Shelter). Although this mission of Chapter 5 (Bunker Alfa) has only 3 tasks but there is one specific task which might take you a little long to complete, especially if you are not a mid level or experienced player. If you are also stuck at Mission 3: Durability Check then no need to worry anymore. In this post i will provide a complete walkthrough of Durability Check mission including the task called “Bring the Alcohol“, where most players get stuck in LDOE. So let’s check it out!
Last Day On Earth Durability Check
The mission starts with the task “Go to Pine Grove“. So the first thing you obviously need to do is visit Pine Grove. Since you have came to the location for a mission and not for regular farming, you will find Pine Grove totally different from the regular version.
It will actually be almost completely similar to how you might have already seen it during Plot Thickens (mission 1) of Chapter 5 where you might have put in a lot of effort to find the shooter. The only difference will be that this time you will find some Fast Biters and a Floater Bloater, instead of Roaming Zombies.
So as soon as you reach Pine Grove and enter the location, the task will change to “Find the Marine“. To complete this task you just need to keep following the trail on the mini map to the place where you have already sat with some NPCs and listened to their conversation during Mission 1 of this chapter.
There you will meet an NPC who will ask you to help the guys with the preparations. The task will now change to “Check the Gear“. You will find the gear almost next to the NPC you have just interacted with. So just go to the specified spot and interact with the gear to complete this simple task.
As soon as you have checked the gear, you will get the next task “Talk to the Shooter“. The shooter can be found doing shooting practice really close to where you are already standing. On reaching and interacting with the shooter named Marco he will say “What we’re about to see has no comparison. Prove you can handle a weapon or you’ll die before you can say “Mommy!”.
After reading this funny and kinda scary message from the shooter you will get the next task of the mission called “Shoot in the Shooting Range“. To complete this task you need to equip a gun and just shoot a few times using it at the shooting target (Aim) placed in front of the shooter.
You will find that the Aim (target) also has an HP bar and if you attack it using a melee weapon then it’s HP will keep restoring back. Therefore it’s important to shoot using a gun and not any melee weapon in order to complete this task. Also, you will find two targets in front of you. You should shoot at the one on which Marco is already shooting.
Last Day On Earth Bring The Alcohol Task
After shooting successfully at the target you will get the next task of the mission called “Talk to the rescued man from the Farm“. This guy will be sitting near the campfire so just go to him and he will say “I’m kinda worried, man. Can you get something stronger?” and with this you will get the task “Bring the Alcohol“.
This is a task where some new players or sometimes even mid level players get stuck at. The reason is because in order to complete Bring the Alcohol task you need to give a Strong Alcohol to Leeroy (the guy you rescued from the Farm). However the problem arises when you don’t know how to get Strong Alcohol in Last Day On Earth.
If you have some Strong Alcohol stored at your base then it’s great. You can just bring an alcohol from the base and give it to Leeroy to complete the task. However if you have none at your base and you also don’t know how to get it then let me tell you that luckily it’s not hard to obtain alcohol. You can easily get it from Motel, Crooked Creek Farm, by Raiding bases and also from farming zones, specially from red zones.
So just explore the above mentioned locations to obtain a Strong Alcohol and complete this task. You will then get the next task called “Talk to the Cook“. Just use the mini map to get to the Cook who can be found near the shooter. On interacting with him the task will change to “Bring Everything He Needs” and with this you will find that he needs 2 Duct Tapes and 1 Battery.
Both of these are pretty common items in the game so most probably you should already have enough of them at your base. You can even find the Duct Tapes from the chests at Pine Grove. So just visit your base to get a Battery and come back to Pine Grove to give both required items to the Cook. After giving him the items you will get the last task of this mission “Return to the Marine“. Just follow the trail to go to the Marine and complete the Durability Check mission.
