Grade Skills on your equipment allow you to get new abilities or buffs in Survivor.io game. Whenever you obtain an equipment (any rarity) you can tap on it to check all the buffs or new abilities you can get from it’s Grade Skills section. But the problem is that most players don’t know how to unlock grade skills so that they could get more advantage in the game. What Are Grade Skills In Survivor.io
Every gear in Survivor.io has a list of Grade Skills. You will find a colorful lock icon right before every skill mentioned in the list. The color of these locks actually denotes a grade or rarity. As you know that there are various grades of equipment in the game and each grade or rarity is denoted by a particular color. Below you can learn about which color denotes which grade of equipment in the game.
- Grey – Normal
- Green – Good
- Blue – Better
- Purple – Excellent
- Yellow – Epic
- Red – Legendary
So a blue colored lock icon in front of a grade skill denotes that you need to upgrade that gear to “Better” grade in order to unlock that skill. Similarly a purple color lock icon denotes you need to upgrade that equipment to Excellent grade to unlock that grade skill and so on. This means if you want to unlock all grade skills on an equipment then you must upgrade it to Legendary grade.
Once you unlock a grade skill it gets highlighted in the list. The colored lock icon in front of it also turns into a colorful circular icon, which denotes that the skill has been unlocked. So you need to keep grinding for upgrading the grade of an equipment to unlock grade skills.
How To Unlock Grade Skills In Survivor.io
So now you know that you need to turn your gear into a higher rarity or grade, but how do you do it? Well, there are 2 ways you can use to achieve that. Below you can learn about both these ways.
The first method is to use the Merge feature in Survivor.io game. This feature allows you to combine duplicates of an equipment to turn it into a higher grade. As your gear transforms into the next higher grade, it not only unlocks a grade skill but it’s base stat and max level are also increased. The second method to unlock grade skills is to directly get a higher grade equipment. You might have noticed that some equipment already have 1, 2 or more grade skills unlocked on them, this is because of the grade of that gear. So if you directly get a Better grade gear then the first skill will already be unlocked on it. Similarly if you get an Excellent grade item then 2 or 3 grade skills (depending upon which type of gear that is) will be unlocked on it.
In order to directly get such higher grade equipment you need to open EDF Supplies or Large Depot in the game shop. Daily Shop section is also updated every day and often includes Better grade items. The great thing is that game provides more than enough ways to obtain Gems for free. So just keep actively playing the game and you will be able to open these chests frequently.
Other than the above mentioned places, the game also regularly keeps releasing Limited Time Chests and Events. These chests have an increased chance to drop Excellent and S Tier Excellent grade gear. They also provide you a chance to obtain some rare equipment through these chests and events which are really powerful and have multiple grade skills unlocked on them.
