A massive Skills system has been released in 1.8.2 update in Last Day On Earth Survival game. There are all kinds of cool and interesting skills that you can unlock to get amazing buffs and benefits in the game. Last Day On Earth How To Unlock and Use Skills
First of all let’s learn a little bit about skills. There are mainly two types of skills called Active skills and Passive skills. Active skills can be enabled or disabled whenever you want (after unlocking them). These skills temporarily replace your Auto and Sneak buttons at the bottom left and right corners of your screen, when activated. You can switch back to your regular Auto and Sneak buttons whenever you want. These skills give you great new actions to perform and hence they are a bit rare to obtain as compared to passive skills.
Passive skills on the other hand are used automatically whenever they need to be used. You don’t need to activate or deactivate them. These skills provide you various types of buffs in the game.
You can check out the complete list of skills available in the game by tapping on the upward pointing green arrow at your inventory screen. On your skills screen you can find 3 sections namely Active, Passive and Temporary. Temporary skills section will display the skills which are activated for a limited time only, like the active traits of your Dogs, buffs from Healer, Sector 7 buffs etc.

Active Skills – Animal Friend, Sprint, Look Around, Roll, Self Healing.
Passive Skills – Motorcycle Driver, Cold Survival, Walker, Neat Freak, Lumberjack, Iron Miner, Dog Breeder, Extra Pocket, ATV Driver, Hacker, Trader, Burglar, Medic, Biker, Glutton, Lucky, Strong Legs, Lungs of Steel, Quiet Gunner, Robber, Dog Lover, Logger, Quick Step, Copper Miner, Careful, Camouflage Master, Focused, Hot Blooded, Bruiser, Homebody and Skinner.
Each of the above mentioned skills can be unlocked by farming resources or beating zombies at a specific type of location only. You can check which location you need to farm at, for unlocking your desired skill by simply tapping on the locations on the global map.

By farming resources on a location you will gain experience, which can be seen through a percentage indicator around the mini map on a location. When the indicator reaches 100%, you will see a symbol appear near the top left corner of the screen. By tapping on that symbol you will be able to get a random skill. Once you get a skill, it will be unlocked on your skills screen.
