River Bend is a special and temporary location in Last Day On Earth Survival game. It spawns after you complete the first 3 tasks of Mission 1 while completing Chapter 2 (Chasing The Crate) of Act 1. There are total 2 missions in this 2nd Chapter and this first mission called “High Value Cargo” consists of 14 tasks. If you are having any issues or if this location just spawned in your game and you are looking for some tips before entering the location then you have come to the right place. Last Day On Earth River Bend Guide
River Bend is a beginner location so you won’t really find it hard to clear. Your exploration of this location will start when you get a mission called “Go To River Bend” after completing the first three tasks of Mission 1. After getting this mission you can arrive on global map to get a pop up appear on your screen, notifying you about the spawn of River Bend location. It spawns just underneath Crooked Creek Farm on the map.
Once you enter River Bend, you will get the next mission called “Examine The Shore“. This next mission is quite easy because all you need to do is just move a little further into the location to find a storage and a dead survivor and that’s it, this mission will be completed. The storage will be a tree from which you might find some caps. From the survivor’s body you will find a hammer and some half durability reinforced armors.
The next mission you need to complete at River Bend will be called “Clear Out Zombies“. In this mission you simply need to kill the 5 zombies in the area. These zombies will be just some Fast Biters and Roaming Zombies so you won’t have any problem in completing this mission.
The next mission will be called “Find and Repair The Crossing” in which you will need to repair a crossing located at north east of the area. You will need 4 Planks, 4 Ropes, 2 Nails and 1 Hammer to repair the crossing. The good thing is you don’t need to bring any of these with you because all these items can be found from items scattered at the area and from storage inside the 2 houses you will find there. So just explore the surrounding area to collect all items and repair the crossing.
While exploring one of the houses you will also find a Note which will read “Frank, I’ve carried the crate to the island in the river. Bury it when no one’s looking, those idiots are unlikely to look for it there. Or dismantle the crossing, whatever, i don’t care. I”ll be waiting at ….”
Once you have repaired the crossing, you will be able to cross to the other section of River Bend. Your next mission at the location will be to clear out 7 zombies. This time the enemies will be 3 Fast Biters, 2 Grey Wolves, 1 Rabid Wolf and 1 Floater Bloater. However this time it will be slightly challenging to kill them than last time because they won’t already be waiting for you at specific spots like before. Instead they will stay hidden inside the tall bushes and will come running to attack you as soon as you go near the bushes.
So if you couldn’t find a few zombies out of the required 7 then make sure to check the nearby bushes. You might not have aggroed a few of them so just take a run through the bushes and the remaining zombies will spawn and run to attack you. You might also take a little more damage this time because you won’t be able to sneak attack any of them.
Once you have beaten all 7 zombies, you will get the final mission of River Bend which is “Check the Crate“. This crate will be located at very end of the location and is quite easy to find. However note that you won’t be able to open it until you have killed all 7 zombies from the previous task. So if you are unable to open the crate then make sure to complete the previous task first.
The reward inside the Crate includes some basic items like leather, nails, thick fabric and a Tactical Cap. These items might not be really valuable if you are an advanced player but for a new player, they are not that bad. After opening this final crate you will get your next mission called “Go To Abandoned Site” for which you will need to leave River Bend and come to the global map.
Last Day On Earth River Bend Tips
As mentioned earlier, River Bend is a beginner friendly location so you don’t really need some extraordinary tips or tricks to clear it. The location is quite easy to clear so you will be able to clear it just by following the guide mentioned above. If you want then you can clear it even without any armor but still i recommend crafting and equipping just tier 1 armor so that you don’t take unnecessary damage from enemies. You also don’t need any gun, just use a basic weapon like a cleaver, crowbar etc. and a few healing items and that’s it.
