“Find a Way to Deal With the Sniper” seems to be one of the hardest tasks to complete for players in Last Day On Earth Survival game. You need to complete this task during “Chasing The Captive” mission which is the 2nd mission of Chapter 4 (Trouble With Raiders) in Act 1. In this task you will find a Sniper at the top of a container and you somehow need to kill sniper to move ahead in the mission. If you have already lost a lot of HP and still couldn’t get to know how to kill the sniper then don’t worry anymore. In this post i will tell you exactly how to deal with sniper in LDOE. So let’s check it out!
How To Find A Way To Deal With The Sniper
Soon after you unlock Mission 2 of Chapter 4, you will need to visit Limestone Cliffs for completing this mission. On entering Limestone Cliffs you will find it has transformed into a Junkyard like location with some cars and containers available at the area. You will first get a task called “Inspect the Junkyard” in which you just need to enter through the entry container and take a few steps ahead.
As soon as you enter the junkyard, the camera will zoom out to display a wider view of the area. That’s when you will get the task called “Find a Way To Deal With The Sniper“. You will find a Fast Biter feeding on a dead survivor at a little distance from you. As soon as you get close to kill him, you will hear sounds of sniper shot and soon you will be able to locate a sniper shooting at you from the top of a nearby container.
The sniper will now keep shooting at you every few seconds to deal 18 or more damage (depending upon your equipped armor) per hit. The unfortunate thing is that you won’t even be able to reach him so that you could kill sniper. You will now feel helpless and get confused about how to deal with the sniper.
The dangerous thing is that the sniper’s range is also quite large. The sniper shot can hit you at almost every corner of the Junkyard, which will undoubtedly make you lose a lot of your HP. The only way to escape the sniper is to get out of the junkyard through the entry container.
However that is only a temporary solution and will obviously not help you to clear this task. So what to do now? How to find a way to deal with the sniper? or to be more specific, how to kill the sniper? Well, the good news is that it’s quite easy to kill sniper and move ahead in the mission. What you need to do is go back to the container where the sniper is located at. There you will find an exclamation mark at right side of the container. This spot will also be marked as a ladder icon on mini map. After reaching this spot just tap on hand button and you will get to the top of the container.
You will now find the sniper right in front of you. Just go to the sniper and kill him with whichever weapon you want. You don’t necessarily need to use a gun because he doesn’t shoot that fast and thus you can take a little extra time to kill him. So just use a high damage or fast attacking melee weapon and kill him to complete this task. After getting rid of the sniper, use the same exclamation mark corner to get down the container.
The next task will be called “Go deeper into the Junkyard” in which you need to explore the area further by killing several raiders located at south western part of the area. The good thing is that these raiders will not be equipped with guns so it won’t be that hard to beat them. However i recommend using a Glock 17 or M16 together with Saw blade Mace for defeating these raiders since there can be two of them together. This way you also won’t lose unnecessary HP.
Soon after killing all the raiders you will come around 3 survivors and get the next task called “Help Clear out the Debris“. In order to complete this task you just need to tap on hand button after getting close to the debris blocking the path of these three survivors to clear the debris and free all the survivors.
You will now get the next task called “Inspect the Junkyard” in which you need to cut a trip wire trap and then defeat two raiders together. After defeating them you will again need to clear a debris to unlock the path ahead. So just keep heading with your three friendly survivors and clear the debris.
This will take you to the next task called “Free the Survivors” where you need to defeat some raiders together with your friend survivors. You need to deal with 5 raiders but the raider’s leader will escape after hitting you. With this you will get the next task called “Find Where the Raider’s Leader is Hiding“. You will discover that he has hidden inside a container at left part of the area.
Right after locating the container you will get the last task of the mission called “Break into the Container“. You will need a crowbar to open the container. The good thing is you don’t need to head back to your base to get a crowbar. You can simply get it from a chest located at a little distance from the container. So get the crowbar from that chest and break into the container to finish the mission.
