The chat box also partially hides some area of the screen which makes it slightly difficult to look at the area or enemies behind it. So is there any way to turn off chat in Diablo Immortal? Can you completely hide chat in the game? In this post i will tell you everything about it. So let’s check it out!
How To Hide Chat Box In Diablo Immortal
The good news is that it’s actually possible to turn off chat in Diablo Immortal. Just follow the simple steps mentioned below and you can successfully get rid of the annoying chat in the game.
Step 1. Tap on the 3 lines button at top right of your screen (just above the Inventory button) and then tap on Settings. You can also open the Settings from your inventory screen using the small button at bottom (just before the portal button).
Step 2. On Settings screen , select the “Chat” option. This will display all the options and settings you can configure regarding chat in the game like auto play voice, chat preview resize, chat box size, enable/disable speech to text or text to speech etc.

Step 3. We don’t need to change or worry about any of the above mentioned options. All you need to do is just uncheck all options under “Channels In Chat Preview” (the very top section under “Chat”). So you need to uncheck world, zone, adventurer, recruitment and any other option. This will completely hide the chat from each of those channels.
After doing the 3rd step as mentioned above, just close the settings screen to return back to the game. You will still see the chat box in the game but don’t worry because it will show only the past messages, no new messages will appear now. So just wait for few seconds and the chat box will be completely minimized and almost disappear from the screen as seen in the image below.
Note that the chat box can not be fully disabled in the game because sometimes it is needed to display important notifications from the game. But by using the steps mentioned in this post you can definitely get rid of it. After following these steps the chat box will stay minimized and won’t obstruct your gameplay in any way. Just avoid tapping on the minimized box because it will expand again if you tap on it, but of course it will be minimized again after few seconds, so no worries!
