Recycler is without doubt one of the best machines introduced in Last Day On Earth. But in order to utilize it properly you need to know which items to recycle initially and which ones to save for recycling later. This is because, in the beginning you have a low percentage of obtaining rare items, so if you put in your best items initially then you might be wasting them. Therefore it is necessary to first level up the category skills using least valuable items and then disassemble the most valuable ones. In this post we are going to tell you about the items which you should recycle in the beginning and also the best ones which you should keep for later, in each category. So let’s check it out!

Last Day On Earth Recycler Items Guide

Below you can learn about the best and the worst items for each of the 6 categories inside Recycler.

1. Clothes – In the beginning it is recommended to recycle your broken Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, enhanced tier 2, enhanced tier 3 and Fur armor. Basically you can recycle any of your armors (including all body parts) except the SWAT Armor, because only SWAT armor has a chance of giving you Steel Bars while other clothes will give you basic and not much rare items.

2. Electronics – In Electronics category you should recycle the following items initially – Light Bulbs, Torches, Dish Antenna and Expensive Watches. The items which you should recycle after leveling up a bit are – Batteries, Camera, USB Drive, Mobile Phone and Signal Amplifier.

3. Firearms – You can recycle any of your guns like Glock-17, AK-47, Shotguns etc. in the beginning to level up your Firearms skill. The only gun you should save for recycling later are the MiniGuns because they have a chance of giving you Turret Parts which you can use in the Turrets at your Base.

4. Melee Weapons – You can disassemble any of your melee weapons in the beginning like Skull Crusher, Saw blade, Machete, Spiked Devastator, Nail Board, Paddle etc. because all these melee weapons will give you basic resources like pine planks, leather, duct tape etc. The only melee weapon you can think about recycling later are the Katanas because they can give you Steel Bars after recycling at higher levels.

5. Mechanics – In this category you can initially recycle the ATV Gas Tank, Chopper Fork, Chopper Wheel and Chopper Gas Tank. After leveling up your Mechanics skill inside the Recycler you should recycle the following items – Truck Wheel, ATV Wheel and Truck Saw Blade.

6. Other – In other category, it is recommended you recycle the following items initially – Empty cans, Baked beans, Beer and all the CAC Cards i.e. CAC Card A, CAC Card B, CAC Card C, CAC Card D, CAC Card F, CAC Card R and CAC Card Z. There is only 1 item which is worth saving for disassembling later in this category and that item is Wrench. It has a high chance of giving you Steel Bars but since they are a bit rare item hence i recommend to recycle it only if you have excess quantity of it.
