These Magikarp Jump events are full of surprises and add more fun to the game because the events can be beneficial for you for providing useful and items boosts or items OR they can even be disadvantageous for you if you make the wrong choice. How To Trigger Events
There is not a specific way to trigger any or a particular event at your will. They will trigger themselves by the game and they mostly appear after doing a training session or while playing the League matches. However there are requirements for each event that you need to fulfill for that event to unlock and appear in your game. You will find the complete list of all events and requirements for each, later in this event guide. In the game you can go to “Records”>”Event Dex” to check out all the events that you have unlocked and also how many times each of them have been triggered.
Events Are Full of Surprises
As mentioned earlier, Events can be both advantageous as well as sometimes disadvantageous for you. When you encounter an event you will face a situation and will be provided two choices. The choice that you make will decide whether that event was good or bad for you because on making the right choice you might get JP boost, training points refill, free coins or diamonds etc. while if you make incorrect choice then you might lose some JP or even lose your Magikarp and will have to start with a new one. If you decide to not take the risk in an event and leave, then you will always earn a small amount of JP.
Magikarp Jump Events
Now let’s check out all the events currently available in the game. Right now there are a total of 34 events you can find in the game. Below you can learn about all these events and also the requirements to unlock each of them.
Event 1 (Old Rod)
In this event your magikarp will find some fruits under the water. You will need to decide if you want to approach it or not. The right choice can give you lots of JP but the wrong choice will get some of your Jump Power deducted. You can encounter this event after finishing the Fast League.

Event 2 (Nugget)
This is an event where you are not provided any choices. You will just be rewarded with some coins. The number of coins will depend upon your current Trainer Rank.
Event 3 (Is It Treasure)
This is a medium risk event where you will find a pokeball lying on the road and you have a choice if you want to open it or not. If you get lucky then you might find treasure inside it which will give you lots of coins however there is also a risk of finding a Voltorb in it which will explore right away and you will lose your Magikarp. If you don’t open it then you will earn some JP. This event gets activated after beating the Quick League.
Event 4 (Out of Nowhere…)
This is one of the most risky as well as the most rewarding event. In this event you will find a tree with berries on it and you have to decide if you want to jump to take that berry or want to leave that place. If you get successful then you will earn a huge amount of JP but if you are unlucky then a Pidgeotto will snatch and run away with your magikarp when it tries to jump to catch the berry. Requirements – Beat the Friend League
Event 5 (Idol Riches)
This is a simple event with no inputs required from you. Here the Mayor will come to give you a Training Soda as a reward. Using this training soda you can do 1 more training session anytime you want. Finish the Heavy League to get this random encounter.
Event 6 (Massage a Karp)
In this event the Mayor will give your Karp a massage and encourage it. This will give you some JP or a training soda. No choice making is required in this event.

Event 7 (Everyone’s Hero)
In this event one of your fan will come to you and ask for some words of encouragement which will give you some JP or a training soda.
Event 8 (Roddy Tackle)
This is a simple event which earns you some free coins. A fisherman will come to reward you these coins. No risky surprises here. You can meet him after beating the Quick League.
Event 9 (Unsinkable Magikarp)
This event might trigger after you lose. Here a fan will come and encourage you which will raise your JP or give you a training session attempt.
Event 10 (Go, Magikarp, Go!)
Another simple event where Mr. Yoso will come with a message from a fan accompanied by some free coins. You need to beat the Quick League in order to randomly encounter Mr. Yoso.
Event 11 (All That Glitters)
This is a medium risky event where you will find a mysterious glittering item in the ocean and you have to choose whether you want to investigate it or not. If you get lucky then you might get some coins or other items but if you are in a bad luck then you can also lose some of your existing JP. This event triggers randomly after beating the Friend League.
Event 12 (Jumping Lesson)
In this event you need to decide if you want to enter a special jump course. If you accept and win then you will earn JP while if you lose then you will get some of your coins deducted. Beat the Fast League to unlock this event.
Event 13 (Mystery Drink)
In Mystery Drink event a scientist will come to you ask to test a new miracle drink. You have to decide if you want to drink it. If you get successful then you will earn training points but if you fail then you will lose some JP. You must finish the Great League to unlock this event.
Event 14 (Magikarp Adrift)
In this event Magikarp gets lost somewhere and now needs to find its way back to you. You need to decide if you want to stay there and wait or go ahead to find you. If you stay there then you will earn some JP while if you go on the search then you might earn even more JP or you also risk to lose some JP. Beat the Quick League to get this event.
Event 15 (Snoozing with Snorlax)
This is an interesting event where you will Snorlax blocking your path while sleeping. Your Magikarp will go ahead to sleep on his belly and all your training points will get restored. To unlock this event you need to have Snorlax as support and must have finished the Quick League.
Event 16 (Tag Battle)
In this event a Pidgeotto will attack the Magikarp but Pikachu steps in and protects it. It will earn you some JP. Finish the Friend League and have Pikachu as a support to unlock this event.
Event 17 (Showing off Magikarp)
You can earn a free training point using this event where a fan will come to see the Magikarp Jump. Unlocks after beating the Luxury League.
Event 18 (Sage Advice)
This event randomly triggers after you lose lots of matches. Here another Magikarp will come and give you some advice which will earn you some JP. You must beat the Great League to get this event.
Event 19 (Trade for Gyarados)
A scientist will come to you and offer to trade your Magikarp for Gyarados. However, you won’t get to make any choices. You will automatically decline his offer and get some JP as a reward. Finish the Luxury League to unlock this interesting event.
Event 20 (Lost Luvdisc)
Here a Luvdisc will come to you and ask for your assistance which will earn you some free diamonds. You must finish the Fast League to get this event.
Event 21 (Easygoing Slowpoke)
When you go to training after losing a League match, a Slowpoke will appear to give you a LP Restore. You need to have Slowpoke as support and beat the Heavy League to unlock this event.
Event 22 (Watch and Learn)
This event will trigger after your training where a character will come and commend you on your training. This will give a 1 training regime. You need to finish the Fast League to unlock this event.
Event 23 (Slacker Magikarp)
In this event you will find your Magikarp is feeling weak and wants to skip training. You will have to decide if you want to scold or not. If it works then you might gain JP or a training point else you might lose some JP. Beat the Quick League to unlock it.
Event 24 (Macho Karp)
This is one of the most riskiest event in the game. So decide carefully if you want to play it or not. In this event a scientist will ask for your help in an experiment. As always, if you decline then you earn some JP but if you accept it and it works, then your Magikarp’s max level get increased by 1. However if you get unlucky then your Magikarp will evolve into a Gyarados which will make you lose it. You need to finish the Great League to get this event.
Event 25 (Fan Mail)
Mayor Karp will come to deliver a letter from a fan which will give you an item called League Spray. Beat the Fast League to unlock this event.
Event 26 (A Challenge)
In this event Mayor Karp will deliver you a letter sent from your next opponent. It will boost your JP. Finish the Great Laague to unlock this event.
Event 27 (Many Wise Words)
The Mayor Karp appears to give you various anecdotes and Magikarp. Beat the Great League to unlock this event.
Event 28 (Is It Feebas?)
You can randomly find a Feebas swimming in your pond. Make sure to locate it and tap on it to earn lots of JP instantly.
Event 29 (Food Fever)
In your pond you can randomly find a Manaphy swimming from one side to the other. Tapping on it will give you lots and lots of food instantly which can great boost your JP quite fast.
Event 30 (Be Gone!)
In this event you get to meet a ghost girl after the training session which earns you an increase in your max level. You can learn more about this event in our Magikarp Jump Ghost Girl post.
Event 31 (Hop, Skip & Whump!)
This is like a suicide event and is the only event that you can trigger on demand. To trigger this event you need to keep jumping above your pond continuously. Eventually a Pidgeotto will come flying and take away your Magikarp. This will make your Magikarp retire instantly.
Event 32 (Dratini Event ??)
This is a weird event where you will accidentally catch up a Dratini instead of a Magikarp while fishing. To trigger this event you will need to re-fish 4 times after you fish a magikarp. Although you will earn a Skill Restore about fishing Dratini with your fishing rod.
Event 33 (You Can Do It!)
This event appears after you lose 3 matches in a row. A Man of Mystery will then appear and will give you 3 LP restores.
Event 34 (Adios, Gyarados!)
This is another suicidal event which you can activate by continuously tapping on your Magikarp several times. You will then get a message that you have broken your Everstone. After that, when your Magikarp reaches level 20, it will evolve into a Gyarados and retire. This way you will lose your Magikarp and have to fish a new one.
