Tower of God Mock Battle Facility
Mock Battle game mode can be accessed from “Expedition” tab in the game. After selecting it you will get to a screen where you need to choose the Mock Battle you want to participate in. Usually there are two options to choose from. The first is the regular one and the other one is “Underground Laboratory” which can be accessed only after clearing stage 12-20 in Adventure mode.
There can also be sometimes event specific limited time special Mock Battles. By playing in these event battles you can obtain some rare items as rewards. Like in the image below you can see a special Mock Battle called “Unofficial Practice Area”. This one has a boss called [Red Wings] Amigocharz and by fighting him you can obtain Suspendium as well as Data Shard together with regular rewards.
In Mock Battle you basically need to battle against a boss and try to deal as much damage as possible. The more damage you deal within the available time, greater and better rewards you will get. The bosses in this mode can’t be defeated, they just keep getting stronger according to the amount of damage dealt by your team.
You can participate in a Mock Battle only two times at each reset. That’s why it’s really important to choose the best team, as you have very limited attempts. After tapping on “Challenge” button you will get to the screen where you need to choose your team against the boss.
Now i am going to tell you four ways to form the best Mock Battle team. You can choose the one you like or prefer the most. The first way is to tap on “Auto” button at bottom of the screen and then select “Focus on Combat Power“. This will form a team which will grant you the most power. Generally this is the best option for most players, as the game automatically chooses the best available teammates (in terms of power) this way.

The other way is to select the second option on that screen which is “Focus on Element“. This will select the teammates having element advantage over the boss. Teammates or characters with element advantage deal 2x damage. On top of that if your team has 3 or more characters with element advantage then you will also activate an Element Buff Effect which further boosts your ATK and HP.
The third way can be used by players who don’t yet have some powerful characters. At team selection screen you can tap on “Support” button at left side and ask for support from your friends. This basically allows you to use one of your friends’ characters in your team. This is a great way to include SSR+ characters even if you haven’t obtained them yet. However you can use only three characters from your friends each week.
The last way is to tap on “Record” button at top right corner and simply copy a team. This allows you to see the teams used by top 10 players. However for most players it might not be a great way to form a team because most of them won’t have the exact characters used by those players. Other than that if your Shinsu Links are not high enough then you still won’t be able to deal much damage.
After forming a team using any of the above mentioned methods, just tap on “Enter Battle” button to start the fight. The longer you survive, more damage you will deal which will increase the number and tier of reward chests. However the more damage you deal, harder it will get for you to survive, as the boss will keep getting stronger.
The last thing you need to know is that the next time you encounter a boss whom you had already fought before, you will get an “Auto Clear” option. This will immediately give you rewards based on your highest damage dealt to that boss. Although it saves you time but its not really a great feature to use as you will probably get less rewards using it.
The reason is because you will most probably be much more stronger now, than you were the last time you had faced that boss. This means you are obviously more likely to deal much more damage this time which means much better rewards. So its up to you if you want to use the Auto Clear feature or not.
