How To Change Element In Tower of God New World
The first thing you need to know is that there are five elements available in the game which are Red, Green, Blue, Yellow or Purple. Your characters as well as equipment both posses one of these elements. Elements are helpful for characters in the way that if you form a team using characters of the same element then you can get different Elemental Buff Effects which grant you additional ATK & HP.
However in this post i am only going to talk about the elements on your equipment. You can check the element of an equipment by the color of the symbol at its top right corner (check the image below). However if you check all the equipment or gear in your bag then you will find that not every equipment has an element associated with it.
The reason is because there are nine ranks of gear available in the game (S, A+, A, B+, B, C+, C, D & E) and only rank B and higher gear have an element associated with them. Any gear below rank B won’t belong to an element and there is also no way to increase the rank of a gear. So the only way to get rank B or higher gear is to obtain them using available ways.

The next thing you might want to know is what is the benefit of having equipment with elements. Well, as mentioned earlier that both your characters as well as gear have one of the five elements. The benefit is that if you equip a gear on a character which has the same element as character then the stats on that equipment increase by 30%, which is amazing. That’s the reason you should try to make sure that all four gear equipped on your character have the same element as character.
The next question might be why would you want to change the element on a gear. Well, the reason is because you might have a high rank equipment (for example B+) but now you have obtained an A+ or S rank gear for that slot. You will now obviously need to replace your B+ gear but you also don’t want it to be just lying useless in your bag or consume it as a material for enhancing another gear.
That’s when you might want to change that equipment’s element so that you could equip it on another character belonging to the same role. Since high rank gear are not that easy to obtain therefore you should almost never use them as enhancement material. It’s best to change their element and use on another suitable character.
Now the last thing you need to know is that how exactly do you change a gear’s element. Well, in order to do that you need to open the “Equipment” tab of the character on whom you have equipped the target equipment. Now tap on that target equipment (the gear whose element you want to change) and you will see a “Change Element” button right underneath the gear icon.
Tapping on this button will open the “Change Element” screen where you will be told that element of this gear will randomly change to one of the shown four elements. This means you can’t choose the element you want to get on your gear, it will be assigned randomly.
You will need a consumable item called “Equipment Element Change Ticket” in order to change the element. This ticket can’t be obtained by new players (at least for now) because you can obtain it from Daily Missions only after clearing the 11th Floor in Adventure Mode, which might take quite some time to reach. This is the only way right now to get these tickets but hopefully we will also be able to obtain it from certain events in future.
