So let me tell you that you can find this NPC close to the river at Central Plains. There are no road signs nearby it so you might need to cover some distance to reach him. You can just use “Angel Orphanage” road sign to arrive at Central Plains and then reach Scavenger by following his location as shown in the map below.
After talking with Scavenger you will get a side mission called “Marinated Eggs” in which you need to make a delicious Marinated Egg and then give it to Scavenger to obtain Lonely Compartment treasure map from him. In order to make Marinated Eggs you will need to go back to your Homestead and make it on a Grill.
However before you could make Marinated Eggs on the Grill you will first need to obtain at least 1 Bird Egg because that is the one and only ingredient you need for making Marinated Egg. This Bird egg can be obtained from Bird’s Nest which can be found at specific locations in wilderness. But you don’t need to spend time in search of these nests because there is another faster and easier way to get these eggs.
You can also get Bird Egg from Camp Dining Hall. In order to access Camp Dining Hall you first need to join a Camp. After joining a Camp, tap on “Schedule” button at top right of the screen and then tap on Go button in front of “Daily Supplies”. This will take you to Camp Dining Hall but you still won’t see Bird Eggs. In order to find Bird Egg, switch to 3rd tab from right side column and then switch to “Materials” tab.
You will now find various ingredients together with Bird Egg in the Materials list. You can purchase up to 10 of these eggs every day for just 2 silver each. So by spending just 20 silver you can get 10 Bird Eggs per day. This is the fastest way to obtain Bird Eggs for Marinated Egg in the game.

After purchasing, put one Bird Egg in the Grill at your Homestead and cook it to make a Marinated Egg. Now just go back to Scavenger and give him the Marinated Egg to obtain Lonely Compartment treasure map. After that you can also make more Marinated Eggs and consume them to restore 7.0 HP, 1.0 Hunger and 0.4 Health per second for 3 seconds.
Lonely Compartment Location In Undawn
After obtaining the treasure map you need to locate in it your backpack and then read it to get a hint about the location of Lonely Compartment treasure. The hint contains an image as well as a message describing the location where the treasure has been hidden. The treasure could include valuable resources like Ionic Membrane, hundreds of Talent Points, thousands of Silver etc.
The message displays a tumbled train on a track near a forest like area. Along with it, the text message underneath the image says “Two abandoned train tracks lie behind the gates of Western Outpost. A train has tipped over and now lies over the tracks. One car is not connected to the others. It got separated, but it’s not too far.”
