Defeat the Forbidden Gate Defender is a kinda difficult quest you need to complete in Viking Rise mobile game. You will find this mission on reaching Chapter 24 where you need to defeat two Forbidden Gate Defenders together. This is what makes this quest much more harder than previous ones because it gets really difficult to handle two squads at once. However if you are also struggling to clear this quest then you don’t need to worry anymore. In this post i will tell you exactly how to defeat forbidden gate defender in Viking Rise. How To Defeat Forbidden Gate Defenders In Viking Rise

Before learning about how to defeat them you first need to understand the squad formation of Forbidden Gate Defender. Not only this but you should also be aware about their fighting strategy or method. If you get to understand both of these then you will easily be able to defeat them and complete this quest to move forward towards Chapter 25.

Forbidden Gate Defender can be found at Geirleif Village, which is located towards southeast of your city. To be more specific, they are located ahead of Dragon’s Dwelling at the village. This is the fourth village you need to unlock in Viking Rise. You need to beat these defenders as one of the eight missions in Chapter 24 which takes place at Geirleif Village.

If you don’t yet know then let me tell you that Forbidden Gate Defender is an enemy hero upgraded to level 30. If you check his squad then you will find that it is comprised of 42,360 Axe Brawlers. These Axe Brawler troops possess superhuman endurance. They can charge forward and fight till the end. So you can imagine how strong they would be when there are 42,360 of them.

But the main factor which makes this quest the most dangerous is that there are not just one but two of these Forbidden Gate Defenders. What’s even more frightening is that both of them include 42,360 Axe Brawlers each. However a little bit of relief is that both gate defenders’ squad doesn’t have a secondary hero.

Players find it really hard to complete this quest because as soon as you start attacking any of the two gate defenders, the other one also joins the battle. This means you need to face two Forbidden Gate Defenders at level 30 each together with 84,720 Axe Brawlers, all at once!

This makes most of the players get defeated in the battle every time only to waste lots of resources on healing their troops again and again. What’s even worse is that the next time you fight them, they will be back at their full HP. This makes a lot of players frustrated and that’s when they start asking how to defeat forbidden gate defenders at Chapter 24 in Viking Rise.

So after learning about the problems, now it’s time to learn about the solution. When you tap on a gate defender before attacking him you will find that the game recommends at least 33,000 tier 3 troops for defeating him. However that’s not correct because you will be fighting two squads of enemy, not one.

This means you must have much more than 33,000 tier 3 troops if you want to clear this mission. If you are wondering about an estimated number of troops then you can check my exact squad which i used for completing this quest. In my squad i used Laird and Ivor heroes, both at level 31. Below you can check the exact number of troops i used for defeating Forbidden Gate Defenders.

8,121 Axe Fighter (T2)

Note that above is the minimum squad you need for this quest, i don’t recommend troops less than mentioned above. If your squad is weaker than this then unfortunately you won’t be able to clear this quest. So after learning about the formation of your squad, now it’s time to learn about the strategy you need to use.

The trick to defeat the forbidden gate defenders is to use the above mentioned squad or a squad which is strong enough to survive in the battle until you have defeated one of the two gate defenders. What you need to know is that if you get defeated after defeating one of the defenders then there will be only 1 gate defender the next time you fight them.

So what you actually need to do is first defeat 1 forbidden gate defender and then heal your troops in Infirmary. Now head back again to fight and this time you will have only 1 forbidden gate defender, not two, so you will then easily be able to defeat him using the same squad and finally complete this quest.
