How To Get Rare Metal In Undawn
When you want to craft a weapon for yourself or for selling, you simply visit your Homestead and use your Workbench. However when you tap on “Craft Weapon” in your Workbench you find that every single weapon requires a specific number of Rare Metal together with other items.
The description of this item says “A very rare and precious metal which is useful for crafting firearms.” However as mentioned earlier, it is also required for crafting every single drone module. Without drone modules you can’t craft a Drone and thus you can see that Rare Metal is an extremely important item in this game.
The main difference between Rare Metal and other required items from crafting weapons is that materials for almost all other items like Copper Alloy, Plywood Board, Hard Aluminium Alloy etc. can easily be obtained by farming in open world. All you need to do is just spend some time in farming the materials like Copper Ore, Ash Branch, Animal Sinew etc.
However Rare Metal can’t be obtained by farming in open world. You need to use some specific ways in order to obtain this rare item. One thing you need to know is that there are two ways to get Rare Metal in Undawn. You can either directly get Rare Metal or you can open “Equipment Crafting Crate” which has 50% chance to give you a Rare Metal.
There are actually more ways in the game to get this Equipment Crafting Crate than Rare Metal itself. Due to this you need to focus on getting and opening these crates if you want to get Rare Metal. By opening this crate you can get either a Rare Metal or Rare Scale (which is another rare item like Rare Metal but is required for crafting armor).
So now i am going to tell you 6 ways to get Equipment Crafting Crate or Rare Metal in Undawn. More of these crates you open, more Rare Metals you can get. So without wasting any more time let’s quickly learn about these six ways to get Rare Metal in Undawn.
1. The first way to obtain this metal is to tap on “Store” button near the top of the screen and then switch to “Gold” tab located at the very bottom in right column. You will then arrive at “Growth Materials” screen where you can purchase Equipment Crafting Crate for 500 gold per unit. Note that you can purchase only 10 of these crates each week.
2. The next way requires you to open “Market” screen by tapping on four squares button at top right (just beside Minimap) and then choosing Market in the list. Now tap on “Combat” button to open Combat Shop and then switch to “Materials” tab. From here you can purchase Equipment Crafting Crate for 500 Combat Points each, with a weekly limit of 20 crates. You can obtain these points by participating in tournament type activities like “Aeronautical Base” daily event, Training Match weekly mission etc.
3. The next way requires you to open the Store and then switch to “RC” tab. From this screen you can purchase Equipment Crafting Crate for 5 RC each. This method has no limit to the number of crates you can purchase so you can buy as many as you want.
4. In this fourth method you need to visit Store and make sure you are at “Great Value” tab. You will notice a new column of buttons, tap on the third button with 3 logs icon to arrive at Growth Materials screen. From here you can directly purchase Rare Metal for 2 RC per unit. It has a weekly purchase limit of 30 Rare Metals so you can only get a maximum of 30 metals using this way.
5. This next way is a good, free and easy way to get up to 2 Equipment Crafting Crate per day. What you need to do is tap on “Schedule” button at top right and then play the “Limited Time Goodies” daily event. This is a solo event and you can participate in it twice daily to get two Equipment Crafting Crates per day.
6. In this last way you need to collect 100 Activity Points by participating in various daily events at “Schedule” screen. Each daily event grants you a certain number of activity points. On collecting 100 points you can claim Activity Reward 5 from top of the screen to claim 1 Rare Metal together with various other rewards.
