How To Use Hero Experience In Viking Rise
Hero Experience obtained by you can be found inside “Others” tab in your Item list. It’s description says “Increases the level of the Hero. Grants x Hero Experience”. There are various types of Hero Experience each providing a specific number of Hero EXP. Below you can find the complete list of all Hero Experience available in Viking Rise.
- 10 Hero Experience – Grants 10 Hero EXP
- 500 Hero Experience – Grants 500 Hero EXP
- 2,000 Hero Experience – Grants 2,000 Hero EXP

So it’s very clear from the descriptions of all the Hero Experiences that they can be used to obtain a specific amount of Hero EXP and ultimately level up your Heroes. But you might still be confused about how to use them in the game because whenever you tap on “Use” button by selecting a Hero Experience it just takes you to Hero screen.
Well, you don’t need to worry because the game is not making any mistakes by doing it. It is actually taking you to Hero screen because it wants to know which hero you want to use your Hero Exp on. Anyways, i am now going to tell you the complete steps to use Hero Experience in Viking Rise.
Step 1. Open the “Hero” screen by tapping on gladiator head button at bottom right side of screen and then tap on “Details” button in front of the hero whom you want to upgrade.
Step 2. You will now be able to see the current level of the hero at right side of the screen and also a “+” button in front of it. You need to tap on this “+” button.
Step 3. This will open up the “Upgrade” screen where you can finally use your Hero Experience. Just keep tapping on “Use” button in front of the EXPs you want to use. At the top of the screen you can see the level bar filling as you select EXPs.

How To Use Hero Shards In Viking Rise
The next important item for your Heroes are Hero Shards. Each hero in the game has his/her own shard. When you check their description, it says “Summons the Hero X, or can be used to raise the Hero’s Star Level and Talents in the Hero interface.” So you can see that it can be used for multiple purposes.
When you select any Hero Shard at your Item screen in order to use it, you might get confused because it doesn’t shows any “Use” button. This makes a lot of players wonder how to use Hero Shards? Well, no need to worry about that because i am now going to guide you about how to use them as well as also explain everything you need to know about them in Viking Rise.
The first thing you need to know is that Hero Shards are a multi purpose item and can be used for two purposes in the game. The first thing you can use them is for unlocking a new hero. As soon as you collect 10 shards of a hero, you will be able to unlock him/her by visiting the “Hero” screen. It can obviously only be done once for each hero.
The second use of Hero Shards is for increasing the stars or ascending a hero. You can find some stars just underneath the level stat at a hero’s “Details” screen. You will also find a “+” button in front of the stars. Just tap on this “+” button to open the “Ascend” screen of the hero.
You need to know that in order to increase stars on a hero you need to ascend him/her and in order to ascend him you need to max level the current talent. Every time you max level a talent, you will be able to ascend your hero and increase a star on him/her. Now let’s learn about exactly how to unlock and level up Talents using Hero Shards.
When you arrive at “Ascend” screen of a hero you will notice that “Ascend” but is not active. The reason is because you haven’t yet upgraded the level of the currently unlocked talent to level 5. So just tap on “+” button just above the “Ascend” button to be able to upgrade that talent using shards of that particular hero. Note that you first need to level up a hero to level 10 before you could level up his/her talents.
Once you have upgraded the talent to level 5, the Ascend button will become active. Now just tap on Ascend button to successfully ascend the hero and add one more star to him. With this you will also unlock his next Talent. Just keep leveling up talents using hero shards in the same way to ascend your hero all the way to 6 stars.
One last thing you need to know is that there are also Rare Hero Shard, Epic Hero Shard and Legendary Hero Shard. These shards are extremely useful as they don’t belong to a particular hero. You can exchange them into any hero shard when you want to ascend a particular hero but don’t have his/her shards.
