How to raise skill level is one of the most frequently asked questions among Viking Rise mobile game players. By equipping Heroes with various types of skills you can make them a lot stronger as well as also get different buffs and advantages. However just equipping skills won’t be that effective, you also need to raise skill level to improve the stats of the skills and get even more stronger buffs. A lot of players have no idea about how to do that. If you are one such player then don’t worry because in this post i will briefly explain you how to raise skill level using Skill Experience and also where to get it from. So let’s check it out!
How To Raise Skill Level In Viking Rise
You can raise skill level of different skills in two ways in Viking Rise. You can either do it directly from “Skills” screen or if you have equipped a skill on a Hero then you can also do it from that particular Hero’s screen. I will tell you about both ways in this guide so that you could use the one you like.
First let’s check out how to do it from Skills screen. You can access Skills by tapping on Skills button (icon of a sword colliding with ground) at bottom right corner of the screen. It’s the third button or the center most button at bottom right corner.
This will display the “Skills” screen where you will be able to see all the skills available in the game. This means it will also display the skills which you don’t yet have. There will be too many skills in the list so you can tap on “Filter” and uncheck “Not Owned” to only display the skills you own. You can also simply search the name of the skill you want to upgrade using the search bar located under the skill icon, to quickly locate the skill.
Once you have located your desired skill, simply tap on the upward arrow button at top right side of the screen. You will now arrive at “Skill Upgrade” screen where you can use different Skill Experience and Skill Shards as materials to upgrade your skill.
At top left side of the screen you will also find a drop down where you can select which rarity of skill shards you want to be displayed in materials list. If you don’t want to consume Epic skill shards then make sure to select “Rare or lower” in the drop down menu. Also make sure you have checked “Legendary Skill Shards can’t be used as upgrade materials” option at bottom of the screen so that you don’t use legendary skill shards as materials.
As mentioned earlier, you can also access Skill Upgrade screen through a Hero’s screen. You just need to tap on “Skills” tab at bottom of a Hero’s screen and select the skill you want to upgrade. After tapping on Upgrade button you will now be able to raise skill level using Skill Experience and skill shards.
How To Get Skill Experience In Viking Rise
Skill Experience is one of the two things you can use to raise skill level in Viking Rise. There are various skill experience available in the game and each of them give you a specific number of experience points. Below you can check the list of all available skill experiences.
- 100 Skill Experience – Grants 100 Skill Experience Points
- 200 Skill Experience – Grants 200 Skill Experience Points
- 250 Skill Experience – Grants 250 Skill Experience Points
- 500 Skill Experience – Grants 500 Skill Experience Points
- 1,000 Skill Experience – Grants 1,000 Skill Experience Points
There are mainly four ways in the game using which you can get all the above mentioned skill experiences. Below you can learn about all these four ways.
1. Hall of Valor – You can access this building in your city where you can switch to “Skill Summon” tab to summon Skills, Skill Shards or Skill Experience. You will need Blessed Soulstone to summon at Skill Summon. The game provides you a lot of ways to get this soulstone. I will mention about all these ways further below in this post.
2. Honey Tavern – It’s a building you can build in your city and use it to access different merchants. These merchants sell a variety of useful items like prosperity points, speed ups, resources, relocators etc. You can purchase Skill Experience from Prosperity Merchant and Clan Merchant here.
3. Skill Shop – This is probably the best place in the game to get skill experience as it’s a dedicated place to get skill upgrade materials. The great thing is you can use lumber, stone or food to buy different skill experience from Skill Shop. Note that you will first need to occupy Moonlit Village in order to unlock and access the Skill Shop.
Just keep completing main story line Chapters and you will unlock it after occupying Grimms Village and Kohn Village. In the image below you can see the location of Skill Shop at City Territory Map.
4. Events – New events are frequently released in Viking Rise and they are one of the best ways to get all types of valuable items, including Skill Experience. So make sure to participate in events as much as possible.
How To Get Skill Shards In Viking Rise
Skill Shards are another thing you can use as materials to raise skill level in the game. The best place to get these shards is at Hall of Valor where you can get them using Blessed Soulstone. The more of these soulstones you have, more skill shards you can get. So below i am going to mention seven ways to get Blessed Soulstone in Viking Rise.
1. Daily Quests – You can get 1 Blessed Soulstone and 1 Oracle Soulstone together with all resources everyday by completing daily quests. You need to get 100 Activity points to claim all these rewards from the final chest.
2. Prosperity Chest – You can also claim a free daily Chest at Prosperity screen to get this soulstone and other rewards. Note that you need to reach Prosperity Level 7 in order to get soulstones from daily chest. Make sure to check out my Prosperity Guide for more details and complete guide.
3. Prestige Level Reward – After occupying Grimms Village you can unlock Staging Post where you can complete different tasks to increase your Prestige Level to claim one time rewards. At certain levels you will also get Blessed Soulstones. You can access Staging Post using the 2nd button at bottom left corner of the screen.
4. Honey Tavern – You can visit Tavern Keeper at Honey Tavern to buy Blessed Soulstones for 1,200 gems each. You can also buy it from Prosperity Merchant there after reaching Prosperity Level 6.
5. Events – As mentioned before, Events are a great way to get all types of items and resources in the game, including Blessed Soulstones.
6. Gift from Developers – Developers of the game are quite generous as they frequently keep sending gifts to all players as game update gift, maintenance gift etc. These gifts also sometimes include soulstones.
7. Redeem Codes – You can also join game’s official discord server to get notifications about new redeem codes to get various rewards, including Blesssed Soulstone.
