Before learning about how to unlock Souga first let’s learn about some quick and important information about him. His support skills allow you to deal increased damage against Oni when your HP is lower than 50%. Damage against Oni together with your ATK is increased as you unlock his further support skills.
He has a great variety of Perks which improve his abilities further in many ways. Below you can learn about all his 6 perks together with details about each of them.
- Wind Commanding – ATK +80 when using a Wind element main weapon
- Relic Signet – Gain a Relic Slot (the added relic slot can only equip the relic of Tengu relic set)
- Oni Hunter Arcana – [Ninjutsu – Demonic Shuriken] Ninjutsu ATK + 320
- Gale Cyclone – [Ninjutsu – Demonic Shuriken] DMG +5%
- The Wrath of Wind – Can enter Bloodrage under 40% HP (requires the corresponding Talent)
- Lock & Track – [Ninjutsu – Demonic Shuriken] Can track towards the boss when Ninjutsu button is being pressed. DMG +5%
Talents are the basis of Ninja’s capabilities and other than basic ones, Souga has some unique talents which make him more special. He has a “Skin” talent which gives you +5% score for every skin set you unlock (capped at 60%). He also has a talent called “Gale Dash” which unleashes Shadow Gale upon starting that can jump up to 8 times (effective only in Race Mode).
Wrath of Souga is another unique talent which comes into effect when Souga drops below 30% HP. As soon as it happens he will gain a stack of Bloodrage that will boost ATK. 1 stack of Bloodrage will give +100 ATK, 2 stacks of Bloodrage will give +300 ATK and 3 stacks of Bloodrage will give a massive +600 ATK.
So you can see how these Perks, Support Skills and Talents make him a powerful and destructive ninja. Now it’s time to talk about how to get this cool ninja character in Ninja Must Die. There are only 2 ways you can use to unlock Souga in the game. The first is to collect the required number of Souga Fragments and the other way is to pull him directly from Wish Banners.
Souga Fragments can be obtained in two ways. The first way is to purchase 5 Souga fragments for 750 Jade whenever it’s available in the Shop. You can find the fragments under Shop > Special > Ninja Development. The items list in the Shop is refreshed everyday so make sure to check back often if you don’t find Souga Fragments on any particular day.
You can also obtain these fragments by pulling with Jade or Fate Amulet under various banners in Wishes. However the items you get from wishes depends upon your luck so if you are mainly looking for Souga Fragments then Wishes are not really the best way.
Best Way To Get Souga In Ninja Must Die
So as you saw that it’s possible to unlock Souga using his fragments but that’s not really the best and fastest way. Obtaining the required number of Souga Fragments from Shop can take several days or weeks since his fragments won’t appear in the Shop everyday. Getting the fragments from Wishes is random so that’s also not a great way. So you might be wondering what is the best way to get Souga then? Well the best and fastest way is to directly get him instead of collecting his fragments.
In order to get him directly you need to pull him from Wish section. However you might find that there are many banners under Wishes and you might be confused about which one to spend your Jades on. You must only pull under the banner which has the highest chance to give Souga character. Below i am going to mention the drop chance of Souga and his fragments under different banners available in Wishes.
- Choice of Flame – 0.350% chance to get Souga & 2.50% chance to drop Souga Fragment
- Blessing of Fate – 1% chance to get Souga & 3.125% chance to drop Souga Fragment
- Shrine of Fate – 0.500% chance to get Souga & 3.125% chance to drop Souga Fragment
As you can see “Blessing of Fate” has the highest chance to drop Souga character therefore it’s best to pull from this banner if you want to get Souga. Another thing which makes it the best choice is that you are guaranteed to get Rin or Souga after 20 pulls in this banner. However note that it’s a limited time banner available for new players only and after you have made 20 wishes under the banner and have unlocked either of the two ninjas, this banner will disappear.
You have the best possible chance to get Souga using the above mentioned method however if you still couldn’t get him then it’s recommended to pull under “Shrine of Fate” banner. This banner has the second highest drop chance for Souga (0.500%) therefore it should be your second best option to spend Jades on.
