Xiang Tzu is the second boss you will encounter while playing Chapter 2 of Story Mode in Shadow Fight 3. You need to defeat him to reach level 6 and progress towards unlocking Raids (which requires level 7). There is extremely high chance that you won’t be able to defeat Xiang Tzu on your first encounter because of his swift kicks and really high damage. However you don’t need to worry anymore because in this post i am going to tell you how to defeat Xiang Tzu in the easiest way in Shadow Fight 3. So let’s check it out!
Shadow Fight 3 Xiang Tzu Guide
Before learning about how to defeat Xiang Tzu, first let’s get to know some more details about him. The recommended stats or Item Power for Xiang Tzu is 1800 which can be considered pretty high. The difficulty for this quest on the main screen might show Easy, Normal, Hard, Insane or Impossible depending upon how much stats you currently have above or below 1800.
Xiang Tzu is equipped with a Glaive and is quite swift with his kicks and attacks. He is also a kinda funny boss because he randomly keeps dropping his weapon (which also deals you damage) but he immediately picks it up again. You need to beat him three times in order to defeat him and progress in the story.
There are two main problems most players face while fighting him. The first is that each of his attacks drain a lot of your HP. He doesn’t executes any extraordinary attacks but even his normal attacks will make you lose your HP fast. The second issue is that he takes less damage when you attack him. So losing a lot of HP and dealing small amount of damage is what makes players struggle while fighting Xiang Tzu.
Defeating Xiang Tzu progresses you to level 6 and also gives you a variety of rewards. After beating him you will get 3 rare cards (including a bonus card by watching an Ad), 1 rare perk, some gems and of course Shadow Energy. So it’s quite rewarding to beat him but how do you defeat him exactly? Well, just continue reading below to find out.
How To Defeat Xiang Tzu In Shadow Fight 3
After learning enough about him now let’s check out how to defeat Xiang Tzu in Shadow Fight 3. The first and the most important thing is to make sure your power/stat is about 1800. Since he already deals high damage with each hit so if you try to fight him with 900, 1200 or 1400 power then you will take a lot of damage and won’t be able to survive for long. The only way to overcome his high damage is to use strong equipment so i recommend to fight him with at least 1600 power.

If your stat or power is really low then don’t try to fight him for a couple of days. During these two days grind events, marathons, epic and legendary keys etc. to get powerful equipment and upgrade them to become more stronger. Once you have 1600 or more power then move onto the second step mentioned below.
The second thing you need to do is use a fast weapon like sword, saber, nunchaku etc for fighting him. In this example i am using “Weightened Nunchaku” but you can use other sabers, swords or nunchaku as well. In order to beat him we need to use just some simple attacks together with 1 specific type of attack. I will explain about it below so just continue reading.
After equipping a strong and fast weapon, go to Training mode and check these two attacks – hold forward + Attack (punch) button and hold Backward + Attack (punch) button. What you need to check is find out, during which of these two attacks your character covers farther distance (moves towards the enemy). The attack which swings weapon while taking 3, 4 or more steps towards the enemy is the one we will use while fighting Xiang Tzu.
The above is the main attack you will use against Xiang Tzu. Together with that you need to also use the Upward + Attack (punch) button and Downward + Attack (punch) button. In order to easily use all these 3 attacks, simply hold the punch (attack) button all the time (as soon as the fight begins) and just switch the virtual D pad buttons which are Up, Down and Left or Right (whichever covers farther distance while attacking, as mentioned above).
These three are the only attacks you need to use while fighting him. Upward + Punch and Downward + Punch are specially useful if he keeps blocking your main attack. These two attacks also prevent him from using his sequence of kicks therefore you must use these quite frequently. You should of course also use your shadow ability whenever it’s available to use. Also, if Xiang Tzu reaches the corner of the stage then tap forward on D-pad while holding down punch button to throw him on ground and deal a lot of damage.
