When you need to upgrade your weapons you are required to spend weapon batteries as well as some gold. You also need to spend gold when you want to advance a weapon using that weapon’s fusion core.
The Matrices you equip in your weapons also require gold coin when you want to develop/upgrade them. After selecting Matrix data packs or other matrices as materials, you need to also spend gold before you could develop them to make them stronger.
Note only this but you also need gold when you want to enhance your different equipment. Booster Module is the basic requirement for enhancing equipment or gear pieces but on top of that you also need gold. Higher the level of equipment you want to upgrade, more gold you will need to use.

Where To Spend Gold Coins In Tower of Fantasy
Other than spending your gold on upgrades there is only one more way to use gold in the game and that is for purchasing food and other items from Vendors or NPCs. There are many vendors from whom you can purchase different items in exchange of your gold. Below you can learn about 5 such vendors in the game.
There are two vendors who can be found at Astra region. The first one is Liz who is an astra food vendor. She can be found at Astra Shelter so the quickest way to reach her is to use Shelter spacerift at Astra. You can purchase Egg Fried Rice recipe and Sliced fish with mushroom recipe from her. Other than that you can also buy up to 10 “fried mushrooms” and 5 “Seaweed & egg soup” everyday from her using gold. In the image below you can see Liz’s exact location after arriving through shelter spacerift.
Another Astra vendor can be found just outside the Ruin A-01, she is an old lady named Mrs. Taylor. She is not too far from the above mentioned vendor “Liz” so you can use the same spacerift to reach both of them. Mrs. Taylor sells various basic ingredients which are required for cooking a lot of dishes. Below you can find the list of items she sells.
- Salad Dressing – costs 60 gold coins each (daily limit: 99)
- Onion – costs 60 gold coins each (daily limit: 99)
- Rice – costs 60 gold coins each (daily limit: 99)
- Milk – costs 60 gold coins each (daily limit: 99)
- Carbonated Water – costs 40 gold coins each (daily limit: 99)

At Banges region you can find 3 vendors and the good thing is all 3 of them can be found at Banges Dock. So you just need to use Banges Dock spacerift to reach all these 3 NPCs. The first NPC is “Claude” who sells ores, vehicle maintenance materials and gifts. Just look for a large “Balmart Grocery” board to reach his shop. Below is the complete list of items you can buy from him in exchange of gold currency.
- E53 Coolant – costs 500 gold coins each (weekly limit: 10)
- FF79 Alloy Lubricant – costs 500 gold coins each (weekly limit: 10)
- Power Gears – costs 500 gold coins each (weekly limit: 10)
- Flower Bouquet – costs 500 gold coins each (weekly limit: 2)
- Dumbbells – costs 500 gold coins each (weekly limit: 2)
- Nice Picture Frame – costs 500 gold coins each (weekly limit: 2)
- Postcard of Aida – costs 500 gold coins each (weekly limit: 2)
- Wool Scarf – costs 500 gold coins each (weekly limit: 2)
- Custom Poker Deck – costs 500 gold coins each (weekly limit: 2)
- Mini potted plant – costs 500 gold coins each (weekly limit: 2)
- Retro Harmonica – costs 500 gold coins each (weekly limit: 2)
- Paper Pinwheel – costs 500 gold coins each (weekly limit: 2)
- Snack Box – costs 500 gold coins each (weekly limit: 2)
To find the second vendor “Margarette” at Banges Dock just look for “BFC Fried Chicken” board. She can be found upstairs and you will find 3 small kids playing in front of her shop. Margarette sells various cooked foods also also the recipes for Crispy Chick Burger and Spicy Burger. Below you can find the complete list of dishes she sells.
- Steamed Crab – costs 1000 gold coins each (daily limit: 5)
- Steamed Conch – costs 500 gold coins each (daily limit: 5)
- Fried Chicken – costs 200 gold coins each (daily limit: 10)

- Crispy Chick Burger (recipe) – costs 1000 gold coins
- Spicy Burger (recipe) – costs 1000 gold coins
The last NPC is Harriet and in order to reach him just look for “Pizza Hot” board at the Dock. He sells exactly the same items as Mrs. Taylor at Astra so there is no need to mention the items again. You can also find a cooking station in his shop which you can use to cook dishes.
