1. Limited Time Special Crystals – The game introduces a new limited time special crystal whenever a new character is launched in the game. These crystals are 50% more expensive than the regular premium hero crystals, i.e. these cost 150 units each, but the game claims to provide a greater chance of obtaining 3 and 4 star heroes out of these. However, according to tests from several players, these are just similar to premium crystals but with an increased price. So its quite risky and unlikely to derive a 4 star out of these crystals.
2. By Competing In 4 Star Arenas – This is the main way the game introduces new characters in the game. The game runs a time limited 3 Star and 4 Star arenas for new characters. If you want to obtain 4 star hero from these arenas then you will need to compete with other players in the 4 star arena. Remember that you will need a team of 4 star and 5 star champions in order to participate in the 4 star arena, so if you don’t yet have even a single 4 star then unfortunately you can only participate in 3 star arena.
Even if you have some 4 and 5 star heroes to participate, you still have to put in tremendous time and effort to achieve top ranks to claim your new 4 star hero. 3. By Opening 4 Star Hero Crystal – These are really fantastic crystals because they contain only 4 star champions. There are two ways to get these crystals which you can find below.
(A) Using 4 Star Crystal Shards – If you have at least 2000 4 star crystal shards then you can buy one of these by going to “Shard Crystals” tab on your “Crystals” screen. There are various ways to collect these shards in the game. So just keep playing and ultimately after some time you will have enough shards to buy one of these crystals.
(B) Using 2500 Units – 4 Star crystals can also be purchased using 2500 Units, but you won’t find a direct way to buy these using your units. You will be given this option by the game when you have collected a few 3 star champions, you will then see a limited time 4 star crystal offer pop on your screen to buy this crystal by paying 2500 units. This is definitely costly but a guaranteed way to get 4 star.
4. Arena Crystals – These are not mainly known for providing four stars but still it gives you a chance at 4 star Punisher. You can buy these using 2000 battle chips each. The battle chips can gained by playing in arenas. However you have a really really low chance of getting the 4 star punisher.
5. Premium Hero Crystals – Finally we have these premium hero crystals which cost 100 units each. These crystals guarantee a 2 star to 4 star character but they are mainly known to give out only 2 stars. These are the most debatable types of crystals and there have been arguments on it whether it really provides four stars or not. This is because many players have easily won 4 stars out of these while others have not got even a single 4 star, even after playing for several months.
Some players claim that the 4 star chances greatly increases after you have reached level 35+ in the game while others claim that you need to complete the Act 3 (End Game) in the story quest to get four stars from the premium hero crystal.
